Ohio football starts Mid-American Conference play Saturday when it hosts Buffalo Saturday at Peden Stadium. The Bobcats (0-4) are looking to break a 10-game losing streak and get off to an undefeated start in the conference. If that's not enough incentive, the Cats are also looking to avenge a 44-0 loss at the hands of the Bulls (1-3) last season. BobcatAttack.com's Rollie Merriman caught up with head coach Brian Knorr for some questions.

A furious second-half comeback led UConn over Ohio 37-19 Saturday afternoon in Storrs, Connecticut. The Huskies (2-2) scored 31 straight points to overcome a 13-point Bobcat (0-4) lead. Despite the losing effort, senior running back Chad Brinker rushed for 159 yards putting him over the 2,000-yard mark for his career.

Ohio's special teams came up with a big play early as a partial punt block by Tony Collette put the Bobcats at the UConn 36-yard line at the 8:13 mark of the opening period. A s...

Ohio gave 13th-ranked Florida all it could handle for over a half before succumbing 34-6 Saturday night in Gainesville. Florida's Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, known as The Swamp, became one as tropical storm Hannah dropped buckets of rain. Dontrell Jackson ran for 118 yards on 29 carries as the Bobcats (0-3) returned to an option-oriented offensive attack. The Gators' (2-1) Heisman hopeful, Rex Grossman, completed 18 of 31 passes for 202 yards with one TD and one interception.

The game got off t...

On the best of days, Ben Hill Griffin Stadium (aka The Swamp) in Gainesville isn't a good place for visiting, unranked football teams. These certainly haven't been the best of days for the Bobcats who are coming off a deflating 31-0 loss to I-AA Northeastern. Nevertheless, Ohio (0-2) will take on 13th-ranked Florida (1-1) Saturday evening in The Swamp where the Gators have won 52 straight against unranked teams.

Under Steve Spurrier, Florida became one of college football's elite teams. Since...

It's the score many Ohio fans predicted. The Bobcats were coming off, if there is such a thing, a momentum-building 27-14 loss to Pitt last week and looked to get very healthy against a Division 1-AA opponent that was predicted to finish 11th out of its 12-team conference.

But mistakes were the key. Ohio made a lot of them, and Northeastern made few as the Bobcats stumbled to arguably their worst loss in the sometimes not-so-glorious history of the Ohio football program Saturday night at Pede...

No one felt good leaving Heinz Field last night.

Despite outgaining Pittsburgh by nearly 100 yards, the Ohio Bobcats committed six turnovers and lost to the Panthers 27-14 in the season opener, leaving Bobcat players wondering what could have been and leaving the Panther faithful wondering why their offense was only able to muster 193 yards of offense against a MAC school that was 1-10 in 2001.

Ohio Coach Brian Knorr's rejuvenated squad squandered several scoring opportunities and was only...

As a 17-year-old freshman, he started in Ohio Stadium against the Ohio State Buckeyes, and helped lead the Bobcats to a 10-10 halftime tie before being injured. A year later, he led Ohio to wins at Minnesota and against Marshall, as Ohio posted a 7-4 record.

Still, during last season's disappointing 1-10 campaign and before, he's heard the critics?that the option specialist is not big or strong enough or doesn't pass good enough or that he can't run like predecessor Kareem Wilson. This year,...
