ATHENS, Ohio – Ohio racked up almost 500 yards of offense to provide a happy homecoming for fans at Peden Stadium on Saturday in a 38-10 victory against Akron.

Boo Jackson and Terrence McCrae moved to the top of the Ohio record book for career touchdown passes and receptions, respectively, and Jackson added two rushing touchdowns.

ATHENS, Ohio – It took some time, but if Saturday was any indication, the Ohio football team finally has figured out how to best use the talents of both of its quarterbacks.

Coach Frank Solich said the Bobcats will continue to develop their offense this weekend in their homecoming game against winless Akron.

“I think we know what we want to be about in terms of operating with those two quarterbacks,” Solich said. “They both have a lot that they bring to the table.”

ATHENS, Ohio – Playing all over the field, Phil Bates rushed for 144 yards and two touchdowns, and Boo Jackson threw three touchdown passes as Ohio rolled to a 49-25 victory against Bowling Green on Saturday afternoon at Peden Stadium.

ATHENS, Ohio – Considering Bowling Green’s propensity to create turnovers and Ohio’s problem giving up the ball, Frank Solich’s main concern this week is taking care of the football.

YPSILANTI, Mich. – Ohio scored three third-quarter touchdowns to pull away for a 30-17 victory – the 500th in the program’s history – against Eastern Michigan at Rynearson Stadium on Saturday.

YPSILANTI, Mich. – Ohio tries to end its three-game losing streak this Saturday when it heads to Eastern Michigan, which has a 16-game losing streak dating back to 2008.

Ohio coach Frank Solich said beating the Eagles (0-4, 0-2 Mid-American Conference) will not necessarily be as easy as it sounds.

COLUMBUS – While Ohio came a quarter away from pulling an upset of Ohio State two years ago, the Buckeyes made sure no such thing happened again.

Four Ohio turnovers proved critical as the Bobcats lost their MAC opener 20-13 to Toledo Saturday night at Peden Stadium.
