The Ohio basketball team opened the 2005-06 season with a 77-61 win over St. Francis (PA) Saturday afternoon at the Convocation Center. Jeremy Fears led four Bobcats in double figures with 16 points and dished out seven assists. Johnnie Jackson added 13 points, Mychal Green 12 and Leon Williams finished with 10.

Antonio Chatman scored 20 points in his Bobcat debut to lead Ohio to an 86-70 win over Mercyhurst College Saturday afternoon in the Convocation Center. In all, four Bobcats would finish in double-figure scoring. Jeremy Fears had 17 points, Sonny Troutman 16 while Johnnie Jackson ended with 11. Leon Williams scored just nine points but pulled down a game-high 13 rebounds.

Beavercreek High School power forward Jerome Tillman has signed a National Letter of Intent to play basketball at Ohio. The 6-6, 230-pounder was named Dayton Daily News Division 1 Area Player of the Year. He averaged 26.7 points and 11.7 rebounds this past season. Beavercreek participated in the Flyin' to the Hoop Tourney which featured some of the top teams in Ohio and from around the country.
