HUNTINGTON, W. Va. – DeAndre Kane missed a potential game-tying shot and Ohio held on to defeat Marshall, 70-68, on Wednesday night at the Cam Henderson Center.

The Thundering Herd rallied back from a 14-point second-half deficit and could have tied it after gaining possession with less than 9 seconds remaining after an Ohio turnover. LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Ohio held a six-point lead with less than four minutes remaining, but No. 7 Louisville rallied for a 59-54 victory at the KFC YUM! Center on Friday night.

D.J. Cooper’s three-point play capped off a 9-0 Ohio run that put it on top 49-43 with 3:55 remaining, but Louisville (5-0) closed out the game by scoring 16 of the final 21 points.

ATHENS, Ohio – Ohio put five players in double figures, built a 13-point halftime advantage and took a 69-54 victory against Arkansas State on Sunday at The Convo.

D.J. Cooper, Nick Kellogg and Reggie Keely each had 13 points, Walter Offutt scored 12 points and Ivo Baltic scored 10 points for the Bobcats (3-0).

Led by Keely and Kellogg, Ohio held a 29-0 advantage in bench points.

Offutt and Keely each grabbed nine rebounds and Cooper dished out six assists and had three steals.

ATHENS, Ohio – Walter Offutt’s three-point play with 1:25 left in overtime sparked a run of nine straight Bobcats points in an 85-78 victory Tuesday night at The Convo.

Offutt, who had 13 points and nine rebounds, grabbed a miss off of a Reggie Keely miss and put it up and in with a foul, and his free throw gave the Bobcats a 79-75 lead.

ATHENS, Ohio – Ohio built a lead as big as 29 points in the second half and held off Tennessee-Martin down the stretch in a season-opening 74-65 victory at The Convo on Sunday afternoon.

ATHENS, Ohio – The Ohio basketball team has added three players in the last week.

The Bobcats reported have added center Kenny Belton as a walk-on to this fall’s roster and have received verbal commitments from shooting guard Caris LeVert in their 2012 recruiting class and center Anthony Allen in their 2013 class.

Belton, a former scholarship player at Cincinnati, has not played in more than three years because of a spinal injury.
