Two Jayce Lewis free throws with 3.3 seconds left gave host Florida International a 74-73 over Ohio in its Holiday Classic championship game. Mychal Green led the Bobcats (5-3) by collecting his first career double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds.

Playing its first game in nine days, the Ohio basketball team beat Binghamton 67-63 in the first round of the Florida International Holiday Classic. Mychal Green led the way with a career-high 18 points and connected on 4 of 8 3-point attempts. Jeremy Fears and Sonny Troutman also finished in double figures with 13 and 11 points respectively.

After a promising freshman campaign, Ohio's Jeff Halbert struggled through an injury-plagued sophomore season. But the junior from White Bear Lake, Minnesota looks to be back in form. He's hit 15 of 30 3-point attempts so far this year. As newcomers have helped spark the team to a 4-2 start, Jeff continues to be the glue that holds things together on the court. Freshman Leon Williams scored all 13 of his points in the second half and grabbed 18 rebounds to lead Ohio to a 73-60 win over Duquesne at the Convocation Center Saturday afternoon.

Turnovers and poor free throw shooting proved to be too much for Ohio to overcome in a 64-55 loss to American University Saturday afternoon in the nation's capitol. The Bobcats (3-2) committed 20 turnovers and hit just 4 of 12 free throw attempts in dropping their second straight road game.
