Ohio's hot-shooting continues against St. Joe's

A day after setting a school-record for shooting percentage, Ohio (6-2) hit a sizzling 60.4% of its shots to beat St. Joseph's 79-72 in Louisville's Freedom Hall. Jerome Tillman and Bubba Walther each had 19 points to lead the Bobcats. Sonny Troutman and Leon Williams chipped in with 18 and 11 points respectively. The Hawks (5-4) were led by Rob Ferguson's 16 points. Ohio is now off until December 21st when it faces Davidson in the first game of the Arizona State Sleep America Classic.

Ohio shot a school-record 72.7% in beating Bellarmine 91-74 Saturday afternoon in the NABC Classic at Louisville's Freedom Hall. Senior Stephen King came off the bench to hit all five of his first-half 3-point attempts on the way to a career-high 17 points. Jerome Tillman led the Bobcats with a career-high 23 points. The Cats face St. Joe's Sunday.

Ohio erased a 16-point second-half deficit but dropped a 74-71 decision at Louisville Friday night in its first game of the NABC Classic. The Bobcats (4-2) face Bellarmine tomorrow. Sonny Troutman led Ohio with 22 points as Jerome Tillman and Leon Williams finished with 18 and 16 respectively. Edgar Sosa had 22 to lead the Cardinals (3-2) who face St. Joe's Saturday.

Bubba Walther scored 20 points as Ohio eked out a 77-72 win at St. Bonaventure Wednesday night. In a tight contest, it was Jerome Tillman's 3-pointer with 1:23 left that gave Ohio a 73-72 lead that it would not relinquish. Tillman finished his double-double night with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Ohio hit all 13 of its free throw attempts in overtime to beat Marshall 84-78 Saturday afternoon at the Convocation Center. All five Bobcat starters scored in double figures led by Leon Williams with 18. Marshall (2-5), who rallied from a 16-point first half deficit, got 19 points from Travis Aikens to lead five Herd players in double figures. Ohio (3-1) next travels to Olean, New York for a Wednesday night matchup vs. St. Bonaventure.

Whitney Davis scored a career-high 19 points to lead Ohio to a 73-65 win over Yale Sunday afternoon at the Convocation Center. Also posting career highs were Kenneth Van Kempen with 15 points and Stephen King with 9. Leon Williams recorded his second straight double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Yale was led by Eric Flato's 16 points. The Bobcats (2-0) are off until November 28th when they travel to face Samford.
