ATHENS – D.J. Cooper knocked down a long go-ahead 3-pointer with 38 seconds left and Ohio remained undefeated with a 69-64 victory against St. Bonaventure on Wednesday night at The Convo.

Cooper finished with 16 points and eight assists to lead the Bobcats (6-0). Walter Offutt and Nick Kellogg added 14 and 13 points, respectively.

ATHENS, Ohio – Ohio outscored Richmond 39-10 during the final 16 minutes to blow out the Spiders, 73-48, at The Convo on Saturday.

Walter Offutt scored 16 points to lead four players in double-figures for the Bobcats (5-0). D.J. Cooper finished with 14 points, while Jon Smith and Nick Kellogg added 13 and 12, respectively.

ATHENS, Ohio – A 20-2 run to close the first half made the difference as Ohio topped Hampton, 75-67, on Tuesday night at The Convo.

The Bobcats (4-0) trailed the Pirates (0-3) by a point with six minutes remaining before a Walter Offutt 3-pointer gave Ohio the lead for good.

ATHENS, Ohio – For the second straight game, Ohio built a big halftime lead and cruised to victory, defeating Wofford, 73-50, on Sunday afternoon in The Convo.

The Bobcats (3-0) shot 57.4 percent while holding the Terriers to 30.0 percent shooting.

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Illinois introduced Ohio’s John Groce as its new head coach in a press conference today.

ST. LOUIS – Ohio exhibited the toughness its coach John Groce always preaches, but the Bobcats were struck down with a little bit of tough luck.

The 13th-seeded Bobcats had No. 1 seed North Carolina on the ropes, knocking down eight 3-pointers in the second half.
