ST. THOMAS, Virgin Islands – Ohio overcame an early run by Florida State but could not answer one in the second half as the Seminoles defeated the Bobcats, 90-81, on Monday in the final game of the U.S. Virgin Islands Paradise Jam.

Ohio (3-2) managed to take the lead in the second half despite falling behind 15-2 to start the game, but Florida State (4-1) finished strong and pulled away down the stretch. The Bobcats finished 1-2 in the tournament.

ST. THOMAS, Virgin Islands – Ohio led by 17 at halftime and 19 with 11:20 remaining, but Tulsa came storming back to top the Bobcats, 90-88, in the first round of the U.S. Virgin Islands Paradise Jam at the Sports and Fitness Center.

ATHENS – Freshmen Jordan Dartis and Gavin Blocked helped Ohio turned a double-digit second-half deficit into a 75-67 victory against Tennessee State on Monday night at The Convo.

Dartis finished with 17 points, and Block had 12 points, as the Bobcats (2-0) went on a late 21-3 run. The freshmen went scoreless in Saturday’s season opener.

ATHENS – Jaaron Simmons had 20 points, Kenny Kaminski scored 17, and Wadly Mompremier posted a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds as Ohio won its season-opener, 85-75, against Florida Gulf Coast on Saturday at The Convo.

ATHENS – Ohio’s only senior, Treg Setty scored 17 points to lead his team to a 73-57 exhibition win against Indiana Tech on Saturday at The Convo.

Michigan State transfer Kenny Kaminski scored 14 points, and Houston transfer had 11 points and seven assists for the Bobcats.

ATHENS - Javarez Willis knocked down 10 3-pointers to finish with a career-high 34 points, and Maurice Ndour scored 27 points as Ohio thumped Miami, 95-65, to emphatically end its seven-game losing streak in its final regular season game Friday night at The Convo.

The Bobcats were on fire, shooting 57.1 percent, including a 17-of-31 effort from beyond the arc, and missed only once in 15 tries at the foul line. They raced out to a 53-30 halftime lead and cruised in the second half.
