AKRON – Kwan Cheatham Jr. and Reggie McAdams scored combined for 12 3-pointers and scored 21 points each as Akron defeated Ohio, 91-76, to clinch the Mid-American Conference regular season title Tuesday night at James A. Rhodes Arena.

ATHENS – Jaaron Simmons had 31 points and eight assists, but it was freshman Jordan Dartis who hit the two most clutch shots for his only points as Ohio took a 103-96 overtime victory against Buffalo on Saturday at The Convo.

Dartis’ 3-pointer with 1:04 remaining tied the game at 85, and in overtime, Dartis struck again with a 3-pointer with 1:31 left that put the Bobcats up for good, 96-93.

BOWLING GREEN – For the second time this year, Ohio could not hold a second-half lead against Bowling Green as the Falcons put an end to the Bobcats’ five game winning streak, 87-82, on Tuesday night at the Stroh Center.

Bowling Green shot 60.7 percent in the second half and recovered from a 9-0 hole to start the game. The Falcons got a balanced effort with 20 points each from Wes Alcegaire and Spencer Parker, 15 points from Antwon Lillard and 14 points from Rasheed Worrell.

ATHENS – Antonio Campbell and Ohio continued their recent tear Tuesday night. Campbell scored a career-high 33 points and added 11 rebounds as the Bobcats coasted to an 86-64 victory against Eastern Michigan at The Convo.

BUFFALO, N.Y. – Led by Antonio Campbell and Jordan Dartis, Ohio knocked down 14 3-pointers and blew out Buffalo, 94-75, on Friday night at Alumni Arena.

Campbell hit 4 of 5 3-pointers and scored 28 points, to go along with 15 rebounds, and Dartis was 7 of 10 from long range, finishing with 23 points.

MUNCIE, Ind. – Ohio held off Ball State, 72-69, to move above .500 in Mid-American Conference play for the first time this season Tuesday night at Worthen Arena.

Kenny Kaminski hit a go-head 3-pointer with 1:02 remaining, and after two free throws by Jeremiah Davis made it 70-69, Treg Setty put Ohio up by three. Ryan Weber missed in the closing seconds for the Cardinals.

ATHENS – Ohio built an 18-point lead, saw Northern Illinois storm back to go up by four and then finished strong to beat the Huskies, 80-69, on Saturday at The Convo.

The Bobcats (14-8, 5-5 Mid-American Conference) led 51-33 after a basket by Antonio Campbell to start the second half, before the Huskies (16-7, 5-5 MAC) came back with 12 straight points and eventually took a 65-61 lead with 6:26 remaining.
