ATHENS – Huge comebacks are not reserved for the NCAA Tournament.

Trailing by 15 with seven and a half minutes to go, Ohio outscored UNC Greensboro 25-5 the rest of the way to take a 72-67 victory in the quarterfinals of the College Basketball Invitational on Monday night at The Convo.

ATHENS – Ohio’s only senior, Treg Setty did not want his career to end Wednesday night.

He scored a career-high 30 points and added 10 rebounds to help Ohio hold off Albany, 94-90, in overtime in the opening round of the College Basketball Invitational at The Convo.

The Great Danes’ Evan Singletary banked in a 3-pointer at the buzzer to force overtime, but Setty scored 12 points in the extra five minutes – finishing with 23 points after halftime.

CLEVELAND – Hot shooting Buffalo finally beat Ohio, making 14 3-pointers in an 88-74 victory in the semifinals of the Mid-American Conference Tournament on Friday night at Quicken Loans Arena.

After twice losing to the Bobcats in the regular season, the Bulls won when it mattered most, getting 22 points from Willie Conner and 20 more from Blake Hamilton.

Ohio's Tony Campbell was named Mid-American Conference Player of the Year for the 2015-16 season by a 38-member panel made up of News Media Association members and the league's 12 head coaches. In conference play, Campbell led the league in rebounding (10.5 rebounds per game) and ranked third in scoring while shooting 57.4% from the field and 44.6% from beyond the arc. He edged out Toledo's Nathan Boothe in voting. Campbell is the first Bobcat to win the award since D.J. Cooper in 2012-13.

ATHENS – Jaaron Simmons had 31 points and eight assists, but it was freshman Jordan Dartis who hit the two most clutch shots for his only points as Ohio took a 103-96 overtime victory against Buffalo on Saturday at The Convo.

BOWLING GREEN – For the second time this year, Ohio could not hold a second-half lead against Bowling Green as the Falcons put an end to the Bobcats’ five game winning streak, 87-82, on Tuesday night at the Stroh Center.
