Mr. Doc--You are doing a pretty good job.  But I still wanna bug you about more 220+ lb running backs.  Boykin does not hurt us when he plays.

Not a 220 back...but close at 210 and should get to that weight with no problem is Danny dillard of Fla.......we have quite a bit of competition....maybe not Marshall now...haha"

Doc: first time on this...long ago grad...Heard thru a coaching friend your staff is recruiting  a dominate player over here in Indy, 2012 wr/db/returner: Logan Cunningham.... Wanted to let you know he is crushing it his senior year... all over the Indy Star and local papers ....has 5 90+yd td's...3 longest from scrimmage in the state this year ( 95yd rush, 93yd receiving (1handed behind back with left hand catch: made ESPNU HS weekend highlights-totally sick), 95yd 1handed INT two weeks ago again with left hand..... on pace to own APY record, few teams kick to him ( since his freshman year made All-Indy Star as a freshman with 7TD's as returner: 2nd in state as junior : tds, receiving and returns)....I know he is talking often with OU staff.... Was fastest Man and MVP at Ohio St. 6/12 camp....OSU had him for over an hour go against the rivals #1 ranked Ohio DB (OSU commit from stubbensville)...Cunningham destroyed him...after 3 pressman routes and getting beat badly the DB would only play off-man and never was able to stay with him........Fickle even took the kid in his office alone afterwords from what their staff says.... 4.39 twice this summer..nothing slower than 4.46...he's now 6' and over 180lbs looks like a beast and doing all of this with double and triple teams every snap...has 6 official visits offered so far and TTech and OK state I hear have called this week wanting film.....here are a few links...flat stud!

Would love to see them offer him and soon..i know he is getting pressure from other MAC's and a couple sunbelts...his HS coach says he loves our staff ..... need a kid with hands, strength and speed with the lateral quickness and vision this kid has.....

We do need to be recruiting and signing a few big 220 lb running backs. Not for the overpowering running ability but to have some blocking in the backfield in the Pistol offense. Run a few two back sets with a slot receiver and a fullback behind the line of scrimmage. With all the good slot receivers in the program I wouldn't even mess around with recruiting a small running back. Let the slots do the PR/KR duties. Recruit 230 lb fullbacks to block in the spread option and take a pitch once and a while for short yardage.

Ohio made a major investment (5 scholarships) in the OL in last year's recruiting class. I wouldn't be alarmed if there aren't a ton in this class. In fact, given the seniors that are leaving, it would be alarming if Ohio were looking to replace them this year instead of addressing them last year.

Just saying...I don't think you really want to go thru a cycle with -0-  or -1-  O-line recruit.  You can never have to many big guys and there are always injuries and attrtion.

Lost Gray to Texas St and one of my fave moniker guys Forrest Lamp.......doesn't look like we'll make any more offers.

We might see an extra RB or QB or WR/TE on the offensive side.
