I believe I read that Walsh threw 3 interceptions in the loss.

Walsh visited BC last weekend. He's a Plan B for them if their main target doesn't pan out.

Well, looks like a strking decision between a career of winning in the MAC and big time losing in the ACC.  BC football is toast.  Fun city to go to school though.

Well maybe we'll take BC's main target.

I'm goin lukewarm on this guy in a hurry.

We have plenty of decent QB's.....if u don't wanta be here don't let the door hit you in the arse.

That's a little harsh Doc, but I agree that the soft commits get old. For what it's worth, BC has 2 QB recruits already, Tim Boyle and Mackay Lowrie. Most sites have Walsh a little below Boyle, and a bit above Lowrie.

They're waiting on a decision from  Michael Julian who is visiting Wisconsin this weekend. They've also reached out to a JUCO QB but he is leaning towards Oregon or WVU.

So, basically Walsh has to choose between being the #3 QB recruit to BC, or the only one for Ohio?

If he de-commits....here is a hidden gem from a small school in Northern PA.  He set  carreer and single season state records for passing yardage, touchdowns and all -purpose yardage. He would be perfect in our system

Toledo shows 5 QB's on their 2013-2014 roster.....add 2 verbals and they now have 7?

QB not the most important need position for us now.

Maybe we went cold on him after 3 ints in his last game.

If he's gone maybe we can get someone better next year.

I think going into a season with only 3 QB's on the roster and one of them being a senior who is gone after next season would leave you very thin at the most important position on the field.  This class needs a QB to redshirt.

It would be ironic if he switches, since his verbal was the one that initiated the flood of others last summer, but it he does, he does. I'm hoping he does come to Ohio, but one thing is certain - he played behind an extremely good offensive line in high school, with four of the five earning all-conference, all-regional, or all-state honors. The unusually good offensive line probably inflated his stats and ratings somewhat. If he does go to BC he'll have the opportunity to prove that the credit belonged solely to him, and not the line, since BC has one of the worst offensive lines in the country, ranking 106th in sacks allowed last year.

I do agree that Ohio needs a QB in this class, even though I have confidence in Vick, Windham, and Sprague. I'm sure the coaches have a backup plan, though. We'll just have to see what happens come signing day. We don't have too long to wait.

Preferred walk-on J.D. Sprague is currently OUr 4th string QB.  Maybe coaches are higher on him than we think. We have an offer to Juwan Brown of Largo Florida.....also a lefty like Walsh....maybe him or a JUCO would work:

Mr. Walsh is not gone, yet.  There are many good reasons for him to come to Ohio.  Better QB coach, better OL protection, bowls, winning.  Someone may still persuede him Ohio will be his best chance.

Well.. can't honestly say that it's a big deal. Do you really want someone was iffy about their commitment, regardless of whether or not they had another offer?

I hope he enjoys winning 2 games per season. There's plenty of bars in Boston to watch OHIO win bowl games.

Well it kind of is a big deal considering we just lost probably our highest ranked QB prospect ever.  Nothing we can do but regroup and find another, but I do think it is a pretty big loss.

This is definitely going to sound like sour grapes, but -- is it possible Ohio cooled on him, or landed a second silent commit at QB in this class that drove him away?  Going to BC with the QBs they've already got just seems like a strange choice.

Regardless, this guy was a good QB and I wish him the best at BC.  Windham, Vick, etc. will hopefully keep Ohio well-stocked for the time being.

In one of Justin Wyatt's tweets he said Walsh's dad works in Boston and his mom has been staying in Ohio with James. So that could be a good reason to make the switch.

I wish him well and that he does well at BC. We have a lot of QB's beyond TT and they all show promise.
It would be 2-3 years before he would see the field in Athens.

Hah.  I think BC football is going to be down for awhile.  But, you never know.  And, Boston is hands down the best big city to go to college on earth.

Me and Jeff McKinney wish Mr. Walsh the best in his future endeavors....

So, BC's has an open spot because a kid bolted for Toledo?  And now we lose our QB?

Wow.  Toledo is kicking arse recruiting this year.

Steve Addazio- what's more sad- stealing a QB from a MAC school you couldn't beat, or losing your QB to a MAC school you couldn't beat?

So if Ohio wants to still have a QB in the class, who might it be? The only one offered a scholarship by Ohio and undecided accoroding to the recruiting chart is Juwan Brown, who also has offers from Florida A&M, Florida Atlantic and Florida International.
