I gave three possibilities in Doc's Wish list thread, Timothy Brady, Keenen Wise, and Najee Jackson. It's probably more likely that it would be someone under the radar, perhaps someone that was hurt their Junior year, and thus not rated, and who had a great Senior year.

I have bitched on this site about the word "commitment" because most of these kid, if they knew what the word actually meant, would agree that they really aren't "committed."  That said, the Dispatch has info that makes the Walsh situation somewhat understandable.  Turns out the kid's dad has been working in Boston the last year, and the only reason the family stayed in Dublin was to allow him to play football at Coffman.  He really liked the new BC coach, who had recruited him at Temple, so when BC recruited him, it set up very nicely for the family.  Walsh repeated in the paper that he felt bad about his mind change, and it apparently was made only after great deliberation.

Based on this info, I wish the kid nothing but the best...

understand the reasoning. Just wonder why they didn't anticipate and have backups before it happened so late.

at the signing press conference, I thought they were really quick to avoid much discussion about this except to say they didn't have enough time to find a replacement that they knew much about. And they did the obligatory info about those already here.

I am locking this thread.  No more conversation about this alleged Walsh.

How is Doug Flutie still on roster at BC? He HAS to have used up his eligibility by now!
