Well stated L.C., I agree totally. Obviously I want the Cats to win but I do not have a lot of confidence they will. On a positive note, our bowl game will have the national stage all to itself. We are the only game on Friday afternoon. Hopefully ESPN sends a decent crew and the game is exciting, entertaining and fun to watch. Being the only game we could not ask for better PR. Go Bobcats!

Yeah to me this game is a "pick 'em". If Ohio has to depend on its defense to make a stop in order to win the game, well that's not good news.

On the flip side, maybe the last couple of weeks practice has helped the team. If Ohio wants to play and Nevada is only going through the motions ala San Diego State last year, then Ohio wins the game.

But if Nevada is truly enthused to play the game and plays like it, then the game can go either way.

As we have seen all year long, we do better when Rourke runs more rather than less. If the coaches don't call his number often it could be a long afternoon.

I hope Coach Albin copied the Clemson play last week. Clemson QB after running often: play looks like another total QB keeper with no typical receivers going out on patterns THEN running back slips through the pack with safety biting on the run and QB stops and floats a dinker to the running back over the middle and away he goes. Those simple yet well designed and called at the perfect time plays makes the bowl watching that much more fun!

I saw one projection where he was the #1 overall pick. Not sure if that'll stand up or not.

Can't make this game. Though our daughters have now left to go to their respective bicoastal homes, the wife was not at all thrilled with going to Idaho in January, so we are staying home and will watch it on TV. BTW, and this is for BTC, she said she read that OHIO was going to have a shuttle service to the stadium. On the basis of this information she is saying OHIO is lock to win! ;-

I believe he will be a high pick in Canada, not a ton of chances to fill a roster spot at that position in the CFL

We are enjoying Boise much more than Dallas (Frisco), Mobile, Detroit, and Montgomery. Weather has been better than last year’s game and the tornado warnings in Mobile back in 2007. day tripping up into mountains/hot springs are good time. You can get anywhere in town in less than 10 minute drive. The locals keep telling us not to tell friends about liking it here. They like having to themselves.

Interesting development with the spread.
ESPN had the spread as -8 OHIO, since this game was announced, with the O/U @ 59, now it has changed to -9.5 OHIO with the O/U @ 61.
Could this be a result of the 3-4 Nevada player suspensions? Or just the way the wagers are coming in?

Sink played a ton this year. This is good for him. I liked Hayes but you have to make the grade. This will only help Sink entering next year.

I knew Nevada wouldn’t be able to stop Ohio’s offense the second this bowl matchup was announced, and after seeing the first quarter alone, Nevada is having an even harder time trying to deal with Ohio’s offense than I thought. They have no answer on defense vs Ohio’s offense. They don’t stand a chance in this game.

Not saying it’s likely, but Rourke seems to have at least as much athleticism as Edelman had at Kent. I’d love some coach to figure out a creative way to have him on the field. He just has an innate ability to elude tacklers and big hits.

This is becoming almost laughable now. Nevada has NO CLUE what to do on defense. This is looking more and more like the BG - OHIO game all over. I’m willing to bet Ohio won’t even attempt a punt the entire game. And to think some on here doubted Ohio would win this game. LOL
