If you like the 110 then you should love Band Day. Band Day is traditionally the first home game of the year and you know how colleges love tradition. Back in the day Band Day would guarantee people in the stands and it was usually before the quarter commenced. It is a good recruiting tool for the 110 and the university. Many of these high schoolers have never seen a college band. Think they are impressed by the 110? Those of you that think it's a waste of time are very short sighted and not very deep thinkers in believing Bobcat Football is all about the football. Haters know less about the bands and music than they do football, and that's not much. Look for me screaming and hollering, enjoying every minute of the total football experience, bands, cheerleaders, dance teams and even football, win or lose, for the umpteenth year. I will let the big wheels at OU make the decisions on what they will put in front of me year to year and I will merely watch and enjoy. See you all tomorrow? Probably not. Maybe a few of you will be there. The rest merely complain about everything and support nothing.

With apologies, but who is RT? Man, I'm getting old.
I did the same thing... I couldn’t think of anyone with the initials RT. Based on the other clues RT=Right Tackle which in this case is Jay Amburgey. He is our youngest starter on oline as a redshirt sophomore. He did play some last year. I think he’s going to be a good one.

I think this is going to be our best offensive line in a long time.

Late rain maybe? Channel 4 forecast scattered showers moving in about dark Saturday night and hanging around through Sunday morning.

Of course. I'm an idiot thinking of a player with initials RT. Not the right tackle position. It's been a long week.

You channeling Jeff McKinney? That's his job -- to tell us about miserable wx forecasts. Fortunately, my WeatherBug app now says the rain won't start until midnight. Unless we have multiple OTs the game should be over and I should be back home celebrating the victory with some Jackie O's by that time!

Yep, Amburgey. He did play last year in the CMU game, then it was Meservy for the other games. Amburgey i think will be very good. He is a tall guy with an athletic frame- he is a fit 300 pounds. If he keeps working in the weight room, he could be All-MAC.

What we get from RT is also going to be key. Being the most inexperienced and youngest member of the line, you figure syaracuse will throw some stuff his way to see if he can handle it. Ohio might help him there a bit though with TEs or in other ways.

He was pretty highly recruited out of high school. 15 scholarship offers including... Syracuse.
nice fact on the syracuse scholarship. Liked that.

The right guard will be Rogers or Hoover, both seniors who played between 5-10 games for the bobcats. I wish meservy was playing right guard this week though. Meservy has the kind of experience that would better allow some assistance/communication with Amburgey, to help him adjust to being a starter. Rogers or Hoover will do fine but they probably need to be really focused on their own jobs.

Anybody think we'll see anything different on offense? For a while now, Ohio has generally been a team that throws the ball vertically for chunk plays, but I wonder if, with the Syracuse attacking defense, they will go to more quick stuff like WR screens and RBs in the flats?

Rumors floating around this year that the offense will be built off of a heavy run game and some Wildcat formations. Hold on tight!

Things I did not see coming: 30 seconds on ESPN College Gameday talking about Brian Knorr’s tenure at Ohio.

Something I did not see coming: multiple posters on a Syracuse board saying that we were too cocky and arrogant and they hoped to beat us to knock us down a peg or two.

Anyone going up against a Dino Babers defense is allowed to be cocky.

Have had a few Knorr thoughts recently. Gravitas and charisma is harder to achieve than mastering the X's and O's.

Gravitas and Charisma? Weren't those a couple linemen back in the 80's?

Good one Bobcat Faithful. Pumped for tonight's ballgame. I think it'll be a war in the trenches and our veterans on the O-line will get the job done. Tuggle runs for 2 TDs, Kurtis throws for 2. 31-24 Bobbies!

I appreciate your optimism, but lets not jinx them. I'm just hoping everyone stays healthy and has a good time. Having a good time can only be achieved by sending the Orange back to where they came from with their head in their hands.

Probably took offense to Russ not agreeing with Babers that “it’s our Super Bowl”.

This is normally done with a RB taking the snap but we might do this with Rodgers.

Long time lurker, first time poster. Our (or I guess at this point “former our”) YouTube got decimated probably around a year ago with copyright takedowns, videos getting muted, etc… Those videos all still exist on a private server, but with no video staff currently I’m not sure if those will see the light of day again if they got the appropriate permissions.

With that being said, massive massive shot out to one of the students I had while I was at Ohio Will Laterza.

Not sure how to appropriately link, but here is what I think is this seasons intro (https://twitter.com/CoachAlbin/status/1434269300731359234... ).

Will is super creative and you’ll enjoy his content throughout FB and MBB season!
