Didnt really like decision to try a 50 yard FG. Rather take my chances on a play. Gave them great field position and well that didnt take long.

So we have a Mack truck at LT and we run UTM and to the right. Go figure.

It was the MO for so many years… Why change now?

Brilliant. Spread out the 110, add HS bands, turn the student section into a super spreader.

Could've been a worse first half. A six-pt deficit isn't bad but we need TDs instead of FGs.
I think Kurtis is the leading passer AND receiver for the Cats.
Need some takeaways. Shorter fields would help the offense.
They just showed the MAC 75 ad. Looks like a spot for a bad sci-fi series.
Go Cats!

So glad we gave a multi year contract to Albin. Why should we be trying to find the next Sean Lewis. This sucks. We will be Knorr 2.0. 3-8.

Zero passion. Zero playmakers. 2 years to decide on QB and still unsettled. This team will lose to Cuse, louisiana, Northwestern, Kent, Buffalo, Central and Toledo. And Albin was given 4 years. Knorr 2.0.

Had to demote Ohio from the game on the big TV. Maybe on a smaller screen I’ll be less sad. Completely agree though. Why give a 4 year deal off the rip unless it was pre planned? One year prove it and go from there.

I hate to keep referencing Knorr but I was around then and knew it was a mistake. Took Grobe momentum and set us back until Frank came in.

Ass kicked by a bottom feeder P5 at home. Not sure what I am excepted to look forward too after this garbage. Looked so unprepared in every aspect of the game tonight. Hate to use the Knorr reference, but I was at many of those year one games, and today looks very similar.

Nothing like getting manhandled by a 1-10 team P-5 bottom feeder on opening night in your own house.

I think it’s just a tad early to do all the comparisons. I’ll wait a little longer. Actually we had the same problem we’ve had here for a long time. We can’t stop the run. People keep looking like all America runners. I guess we had both starting guards out on offense so that might help to get those guys back. Special teams not so special in lots of ways. Some other playmakers out tonite-Ross—Cox
Better crowd that what I expected.
I’m just glad I didn’t go 1200 miles to see this one in person.

But they wore black!
Garbage.
Another underwhelming part of the Cromer campaign.

You guys are going to absolutely crucify me, but as an Arkansas State grad, there was a running joke every year a coach left we should hire the coach that never punts from Pulaski Academy. He had his first game at Presbyterian today and lit up the scoreboard and record book. Kinda gimmicky, but he scored more than 9 points in his debut game. Let’s poach him!

Completely outclassed. Not even as close as the score would indicate.

Remember that one random year under Solich where we couldn’t run in the red zone? This entire night reminded me of that season.
I sure hope the playbook opens up a little in week 2.

Wait. In my time with Ohio we were woefully bad at stopping the pass. I remember we had a streak one season of absolute bombs and one play first play TDs. I will say we probably struggled against actually decent runners, but that most definitely wasn’t our defensive weakness the 4 years I was there.

They've got to get Kurtis more confident in running the ball or put Armani in the red zone more. There was a 2nd or 3rd and goal play in the fourth quarter that cried out for an option to the right -- the corners were in, so the right half of the field was wide open. Instead of audibling out of the run UTM, he went ahead with it. Got maybe a yard.
The one saving grace for the next three games is that both Louisiana and NWern looked lousy too.
