My expectations:
1. Bobcat offense will score a few points, but facing a real defense will slow them down. I see Ohio being forced to pass, and 5 sacks on Rourke. I think the Bobcats end up with 13.
2. Bangura will have a long day running the ball, because, to protect against PSU teeing off on Rourke, they will keep mixing in runs by Bangura despite them usually being short gains. Someone will have to come in and relieve him, but who will it be? Idk.
3. I think Bobcat special play will improve, but they will have one undesirable play sometime in the game, still a major improvement from last week.
4. This is a game the Bobcat defense really needs for them to gel. The single high defense is designed to stop the run first, and it's a gap defense. Can they plug all the gaps? Can they cover the runners when they do break through the gaps? How often can they stop runs for <5 yards? I predict that, like last week, the defense improves as the game wears on. They need to gain confidence in themselves, and in their teammates, and in the defense itself. I predict that PSU scores 31, but they score more early than late. I also predict that this game will pay dividends down the road, as the improvements they make here will give them much more confidence for the rest of the season.
I'm calling it PSU 31, Ohio 13.
