Outstanding game by both the offense and defense, but the special teams were still a problem.

Looking at some of the comments in this thread are comical. It's time for some of you to stop doubting and start believing in what's going to happen. You're missing out on a helluva fun ride.

What an unbelievably bullshit penalty by the ref.
what was more pathetic was the backpedaling apology by the announcers 20 minutes later. first (when the call was made) stating how bad a call it was (“horrendous” as he said) to 5 minutes of oh no the refs made the right call. obviously someone scolded them. weak.

great win by the cats despite some big mistakes. well done boys!!!

WOW. Amazing job, Bobcats!

That game was bizarre. Overall, we dominated. But there were times where it was a 7pt game and I thought it was going to be a nail-biter.

I am a believer in this team. Amazing how they have come together in the last few weeks. KEEP IT GOING!

GO OHIO!

My guess is that this game will be even enough that the team that wins the battle of turnovers will come out on top. Both teams have been winning the battle of turnovers. In four MAC games, Buffalo is +8 turnovers combined (+1 EMU, -1 Miami, +3 BG, +5 Toledo), while Ohio is also +8 (+2 Kent, +2 Akron, +4 WMU, +0 NIU).
Sounds like somebody is due for a clunker.
That "clunker" is going to come from Buffalo. I expect this game to be a competitive one. I wouldn't be surprised if Ohio ran away with it, but I fully expect Ohio to jump all over Buffalo early, build a nice double-digit lead, then keep Buffalo at bay the rest of the way, cruising to a relatively easy 7-10 point win. I have no concerns about Buffalo. Until they prove they can go on the road and win in Athens, which they have failed to do in nearly 15 years now, I'm not buying anything they're trying to sell with that program. Even with arguably their best team ever that last visited Athens in a big game, they got bushwacked. They came in pounding their chests and simply got their teeth kicked in. They haven't been tested like this in the MAC this year. Ohio's not going to play dead like BG and EMU, won't fall apart in crunch time like Miami, and isn't going to choke like Toledo. Tonight they'll get a healthy dose of the MAC East champ and will head back to that drab campus with a loss that will keep them from stepping foot in Detroit in December.
I mean, it's not like I didn't say all of this was going to happen. Hell the only thing I was wrong about was how easy this has been for Ohio. This team is winning the MAC!!!
A broken clock is right twice a day. Glad we prevailed decisively but your history of predictions is more like the broken clock.

If RB and DB health can get just a little solidified, I'll have no doubt in our ability to win this thing.

Getting Bangura back would be very helpful, too. I'd feel even better with a Kalvin McRae in the backfield.

Let's all just stop for a moment and focus on how amazing this is. This team was 3-9 last year, and we all were looking for the Tim Albin exit strategy. Now this team just throttled the league's supposed top team and is in control of its destiny.

Wow. Just wow.

It's a great time to be a Bobcat. Keep it going, boys!

Wow big win for the program and Coach Albin. One of most improved teams in country this year. Week by week they have gotten better. 6-3 and 4-1 and control of its destiny in east after 9 games. Us fans were pretty hard on this team early on put they have worked hard and improved. Still 3 tough games left but the east is in our control now. Winning season, bowl game possible MAC east title are you kidding me coach Albin. Bet coach playing some "how you like now" by Toby Keith in his ride home. Bobcats delivered a butt whippin' of the former first place Bulls. Well done defense. Last few weeks the defense has shown up big.

Agreed! If they felt compelled to give something away at that time, announce the gift card winners, NOT the free tuition. Someone's marketing strategy was waaaaaaay off target.

Great performance on national TV. This season has been an extremely pleasant surprise! Let's keep it rolling and see where this thing goes. If not for a couple of turnovers last night, that would have been a colossal beatdown of the Beefs.

I could be wrong but I feel as if the team is getting more healthy relative to the opponents as this season moves along.

This team has a lot of fun on the sideline. Very unified. You can tell they believe in one another and their coaches.

There was a lot to be pleased about on both offense and defense but one thing in particular stuck out. I don’t believe I’ve ever seen so many well timed (and well played) pass breakups by the Bobcats in one game. My son and I commented several times how impressive we were by that. Would like to see that continue and hopefully we wouldn’t run into a “flag happy” official.

Great for the program.
As a Steelers fan, something that stuck out to me was how quickly he identifies the sides of his pocket collapsing on an early play and stepped up into it before taking off for the first down. Just watched Kenny Pickett run backwards and take a huge sack in the same situation on Sunday…
