Doc, I'm just curious how you actually know what skunk urine tastes like.

And, I actually like Stella, and so does one of my friends who is a real beer connoisseur.

What word score do I get for using "connoisseur" and "skunk urine" in consecutive sentences?

I would give you a triple word score for just spelling that one correctly.

My ancestors sold skunk urine as homebrew to those thirsty bluecoats along the Big Sandy.......no wonder they "borrowed" our horses.

If you like Heineken you'll like Stella.  I've never cared for Heineken.

Boy, I'm glad that my ancestors were with Sherman rather doing duty on the Big Sandy!  Your ancestors sound like they would have given bushwackers a bad name -- or at least a bad smell.

Good thread. Full of fail.

Bottom line, Temple is a mediocre team that struggles to beat successful opponents. Hopefully that trend will continue, without all of the injuries sustained last year.

Of course, your OOC wins against Wofford and ULL were far superior to our wins against UConn and Army.

Tomorrow we got to play your old bagmate Toledo in Basketball. Christ what a waste of a Sunday afternoon.

We're gonna knock the taste right out of your mouth Ohio. We have to, Detroit is looking for a reputable East representative. The Bobcats embarrassed our division last year...

MH55 why you hating on Ohio so much when you feel no such hate as demonstrated by your teams' wonderful hospitality  shown towards Central Michigan and Bowling Green by letting them play more than regulation if THEY chose?  Hell when BGSucks came to our home we didn't treat them quite as nice as you--what gives?

Well after all this banter the only thing left to say is:

"WE'LL DO OUR TALKING ON THE FIELD TUESDAY NIGHT"

GO BOBCATS

I do have to say this thread was quite entertaining.

MH55 must be dancing in the streets after beating Army earlier this season Army is now bowl eligible with their win over Kent State.

Since signing with the MAC, Temple is now 2-25 vs. bowl eligible opponents.

Congratulations on your continued dominance on the football field, its obviously just a matter of time before a bidding war between the Big 10 and the SEC breaks out. On behalf of all of us at OHIO, and all across the MAC, let me say what an honor it is to be associated with such a successful team with such an intelligent and articulate fan base.

Claim #1 is obviously false.

We weren't sure about the fallacy of claim #2 until MH55 showed up.

Double word score for using fallacy in a sentence.

You're just like a turd that you flush and think is gone....only to creep back into the bowl as floating excrement.

I may very well be a turd but MAC Basketball makes me look like filet mignon. And please, pronounce it like Chef Ramsey does:

"fill et mi nyon"

There are better High School teams in Philly than the product the MAC sent here today. Your Commissioner should be ashamed.

Yeah....you're correct....Toledo has been at the top in b-ball for the last ten years.

Did you guys beat Georgetown last year?

Duh....ahhhh....no....ahhh....ahhhh....we didn't play em.

Ooops....you did play them....you lost.

There's no doubt, Toledo is the worst team in the MAC, they won 4 games last year. Using your "logic" that makes the MAC a poor conference. Ok then, Fordham only won 2 games last year, so what does that say about your conference? I guess that means it must suck twice as bad. See how that works?

I noticed Temple got beat by Georgetown last year, what was that like? We wouldn't know, we beat them by 14. You managed to score 45 points against them, we had 48 on them by halftime, but hey, you're obviously SO much better than us, right. I know what you're going to say- but Ohio got beat in the 2nd round of the NCAA Tourney. True. I forget though, who did you guys play in the 2nd round? Oh that's right, you didn't make it to the 2nd round, you got beat by a team from that powerhouse conference knows as "Ivy". Those teams are MUCH tougher than MAC, for sure.

Don't bring that weak sauce up in here.

p.s. Temple football is still 2-25 against bowl eligible teams since joining the MAC.

Cmon, when was the last time the MAC sent someone other than the NCAA mandated auto bid to the dance? Good ole Frank wasn't even of drinking age...

Furthermore, we're not going to entertain a comparison between Temple and Ohio Basketball. Temple is one of the winningest programs in NCAA history and Ohio is not even relevant in Ohio.

Lets bring this back to some of the monumental tasks your Bobcats face in less than 48 hours. How is your molasses slow secondary going to keep up with our lightning wideouts ?

The last multi-bid year for the MAC was 99.

The last MAC appearance in the NIT was last year
BTW, in 2006 Temple lost in the 1st round of the NIT to a MAC team. how is that possible?

The last time Temple made it to the Elite 8- 2001.
The last time a MAC team made it to the Elite 8- 2002.

Number of NCAA Tourney wins by OHIO in the last decade- 1

I swear, you're the worst smack talker ever. You speak in broad, mostly untrue, easily refutable generalities, and use big splashy pictures like you're designing a Denny's menu to avoid responding to specific rebuttals to your previous illogical attempt at trash talk. yawn.

was thinking number of tournaments with a win, but whatever. congrats, you got me, either way your "one of the winningest programs in history" hasn't won a tourney game since 2001. I guess that's what you mean by history, as in a long time ago.

Keep talkin...It's honestly entertaining.  Posey makes Campbell a non factor and we have 2 Safeties on the first page of the 2010 NCAA INT Leaders as well as a squad ranked 13th in the Nation in Passes Defended.  Not the best scenario for a former walk-on QB making his 4th D1 start and his first against a team with a winning record.

Putting up numbers against the 12th ranked Passing Defense in the MAC (Kent) while they’re selling out to stop the run might look good in the stat book but I think we can all admit that he's a paper tiger.   There's enough Philly Fan mentality in the
Temple "crowd" to ensure a healthy round of booing when Gerardi starts to unravel under the lights.  I hope for your sake that Chester wasn't irreparably disenchanted when he was yanked because you might need him when our D is done with #14.

I am a Temple fan and it should be a great game tomorrow night . We owe you one and it probably will be raining so might be a sloppy game . I really think you are  underestimating Girardi even though this is only his fourth start . Kid really make plays and is a real positive leader on the offense . He is tough to stop because we run the ball effectively . Most of his throws are off play action and he is very accurate . I think we have too much for you this year but that is why they play the game because our opinion doesn''t mean a thing and it will be won down on the field . Is your QB okay and will he play ?

Most recent reports is that he suffered a mild concussion, no broken bones, and he says he feels 100%.  I have heard he has taken some reps in practice.  I would say its up to the doctors at this point, and given that we haven't announced a starter pregame all season, I'm not sure why we would this time.

I think we can all agree it should be a good game -- sounds like it could get messy.  Figures it would look to pour rain for our one game on grass all year.
