Finally...A level headed Temple fan.  Welcome!

I'm not underestimating him, I'm just attempting (most likely in vain but it's still entertaining) to shed a little reality on Mr Hunter's "logic".  He's quite an ambassador for your school and program by the way.

I can see Gerardi is a solid QB with a lot of potential but at this point he is largely untested.  Ohio's offense is easily the most diverse and one of the most volatile you will have seen this year, our D is stacked with experience and leadership and our Special Teams has weapons of it's own.  To your point though, that is absolutely why the games are played out and this one has all the makings of a great one!

To further answer your question we have two QB's...One is one of the top pure athletes in the league and is the closest to 100% as he's been all year...The other is OUr all time passing efficiency and touchdown leader and is a dual threat himself.  He is presently listed as questionable but as Alex pointed out, our Coaching staff hasn't announced a starter and probably won't start now...

Nice picture.  Was that one from the year Temple won the MAC?  It must be nice to have nothing to do the weekend after Thanksgiving.  It seems like we have to go to Detroit a lot.

Detroit is looking for a reputable East representative.

You consider choking out a goose egg in the 2nd half "reputable" do you?  Fear not...Ohio will save you the pain of enduring a second beatdown at the hands of Northern in the span of a single season...It''s the least we can do for all the entertainment you've provided...

Just wait until we get TEMPLE at HOME . . . does Temple have any future NBA stars like Oakland?  Oakland is going to go very far this year; they are a very tall and very talented team.  I was surprised at their athleticism.  That being said, we could probably beat them if we'd had a few more games under our belt with a team loaded with freshmen and underclassmen, and a big forward who was coming off a three game suspension (2 exhibition games and 1 regular season game).  It's not only Temple's football team that should be quaking in their boots.  Bring 'em on!

Two things:
(1) This isn't the basketball thread, so not sure why you choose to trashtalk here.
(2) Oakland University is in Michigan, not Oakland, California.

If that is swagger, I'll pump my fist furiously up-and-down to indicate my support of Temple's swagger.

Hey, how'd that 'running away with it' go?  How many yards did you guys gain on the grOUnd?  How many did your stud r.b. have?  How'd that compare to what OHIO put down on the grOUnd today?

Maybe we're being too harsh on temples.  That second onside kick of theris was really an example that we can admire for it's purity.  Purity of really bad thinking and bad football.

Couldn't resist bring up this quote again:

"From the moment the game began, the Owls players linked arms together and danced and sang in unison along the sidelines, providing more entertainment than the two cheerleading squads combined."

Haaaa.... I didn't see much dancing by the Owls players last night .

Go Bobcats!

I really can't stand Temple.  Their coach is extremely annoying, and their little "choo choo" sideline thing is something I would expect to see at a girls high school Softball game.  Their fan base is embarassingly non existant, yet the ones that do exist somehow think because they have a good(ish) basketball program, they should be respected in all sports.  Their record against good football teams is horrid.  Their football program will always hold them back from their unrealistic BCS conference dreams.

So for 2 years in a row, it has felt really good ending their division title aspirations.  And not even close either year!

So where is our Temple friend this morning? Gone until next year I guess... by which time, he will have conveniently forgotten (again) the results of last night's game. Good thing we'll be here to remind him.
