Gentlemen,
Thank you for winning me a case of Stella Artois which was delivered to my desk this morning. I bet a co-worker I could get 50 replies and 2,000 views here without talking about the actual FB game. The rules were simple.
1. I couldn't post anything specific about a Temple/Ohio game or mention any Temple FB Players by name.
2. I couldn't mention Rufus or his fight
3. I couldn't mention Bill Cosby. (That is easy. Bill Cosby is a hot button but he's nearly a billionaire who has given generously to Temple and its FB Program(Any school, particularly a MAC scholl would love such a benefactor and former player.) Hey, hey, hey, I love the Coz.
Otherwise everything I posted had to be fact.
A couple co-workers are fascinated w msg boards, as am I. I almost never engage trolls who come to our board but I gain quite a bit of amusement visiting others. Through the short years we have been in thye MAC, this board has been the easiest to rile up. Some of you guys really need a hobby? Early on, it didn't look like I was gonna win but luckily I saw that Kent article and "swagger" saved me.
Couple things before I go. Temple is probably playing its best Football right now and its a good thing. I circled our game as likely the 2nd biggest on our schedule. I thought #1 was CMU because we were home and I thought a L there would have us chasing the MAC East leader all year. Our defense is very solid and I would put it against any MAC D. We rotate 6-7 DL and probably have 2 underclassmen who will test NFL draft waters. #9 Mo Wilkerson has surpassed last year's MAC Defensive Player of the Year #43 Adrian Robinson in ability. Our secondary has been a bit of a weakness but I beleive its due in part to not getting enough pressure on the QB. #5 Safetly Jacq Jarrett will play in the NFL next year.
On offense, our achilles heel was QB. We weren't getting consistent play from our QB. We made the change after the 1Q of the BGSU game and we have won 4 straight since. We are moving the FB, letting our D rest and consequently, we have not given up a defensive TD in the last 3 games. Seriously, our 1-2 punch of Brown and Pierce is very good. Our offense is much better than the O you faced last year and you certainly benefitted from not facing Bernard Pierce last season..
I dont know if Jackson will play. I dont think he will but if he doesn't practice for a week, do you want him too? I wish no ill upon him, sounds like he was at the wrong place, hope he recovers completely.
as for Whispers posts, I am not curently married and not related to Kathleen. If you are going to accuse any person on Faceboook who happens to have the last name of Hunter being my wife, at least let it be Rachel. Bring me that Stolich Martini now, hun.
