Playing down to an opponent is when you win. You lost.  Therefore, you played beneath us.  For two straight years, no less, each time with a division title at stake.

Well. everyone knows that the bowl system is a sham. Thank goodness that TCU is playing in a nice bowl. Boise State gets the shaft again.

Amen to that, giacomo! While UConn's finish was nice, their inclusion in a major bowl is "Exhibit A" for why the BCS ought to garner scrutiny from either the legislative or judicial area. There were, IMO, three teams in the WAC/MWC in addition to TCU more deserving than UConn -- Boise, Nevada and Utah. The arrangement is unbelievably exclusionary -- and forget the "bone" of last year when Boise played TCU. That was to assure that the Big Conference Scam (BCS) wouldn't stand the chance of suffering a huge embarrassment.

Hey TU Guy, you weren't the IDIOT I was referring to when I started this thread. However, on second thought, the more you respond, it's become a toss-up. Maybe Crosby will get all youTempletons Pudding Pops for Christmas to make up for your NOBowl.

TUvideo guy-

This thread was meant for MH55, not you.  When it comes to bashing Temple, just take it with a grain of salt from us; if not for that guy, a lot of people would likely view them as just another MAC school.  MH's arrogant comments about Temple running all over us (no intelligent conversation) pretty much ruined them on this board.

You seemed respectable to start, don't fall to that guys level.

MH55,   Enjoy your trip to your Bowl game,  Oh Wait ?   Temple is NOT going to a Bowl game. My Bad.  Bash the schedule all you want MH55, but the bottom line is,  Ohio spanked Temple's ass in their own stadium and that ass kickin we gave Temple, earned Ohio the right to go to a Bowl.   Happy Holidays MH55 and may a Shaggy Reindeer crap down your chimney !

Don't give them that much credit Gman.  They got their ass kicked in the Philadelphia Eagles' stadium.  Their program is so top notch they have to play there to make sure they can accomodate all of their fans.

Please don't talk about attendance... Temple averages 20k a game with one of them being during a monsoon at night.  Do you know how hard it is to draw people to see MAC teams no one cares about?

Temple drew 32K this year to a game against a DIV IAA school.. (Villanova)  Your stadium only holds 24K!

And the population of our city is approximately 22,000--whereas the population of your city is 1,500,000, and the population of your metropolitan area is 5.8 million. Your attendance should be greater than ours.

What I have found out about Ohio fans is they do a lot of chest pounding once the results are in.

From what I recall there wasnt a single fan who stepped forward and took my offer of Ohio +7.

I agree with the poster who asks why you are worried about me. Despite my disappointment with Temple and its continued association with the worst conference in D1 sports, I remain beautiful, wealthy and wise.

Enjoy New Orleans. Been there a dozen times ,including Temple's run to the Elite 8 in 2001. For those borrowing and scraping the cash together to attend, I give you permission to start a thread asking me what you should do for fun and what you shouldn't do that will bring you to the business end of a loaded gun.

child please. you drew big for the Nova game because Nova is only an hour away. If you're going to blame the MAC,  the weather, the day of the week, etc, then explain this one to us-

The attendance for your home game against Big East (yeah!), regional rival UConn drew 18,702 on a sunny Saturday in September. That's it. You drew over 4k more against Bowling Green, btw.

By comparison OHIO drew 24,617 when they hosted UConn last year. That's nearly SIX THOUSAND MORE than Temple did, and we're all the way out in rural Ohio,.but but but but....

OHIO drew more fans to 4of our 6 home games then temple did vs UConn.. PATHETIC.

enjoy your off season, we'll be getting ready for our BOWL GAME.

55 just doesn't get the pecking order...Temple was run out of the Big East once.  Doesn't look like they'll get back in any time soon.  They are in the MAC for one reason...they are a perfect fit both attendance wise and in success (or lack thereof) on the football field.  Nobody else will take them.  They should be happy .  Besides, nothing erases the fact that they lost to MU, OU and NIU in the league.  What else can be said?

This might be the single greatest line ever posted on this message board.

Did you just accuse us of celebrating victories?

Yep, that's a keeper.

Also begs the question: what if this wonderful logic had been used in other situations?

sweet lord I love Temple. The big topic of discussion tonite is whether or not they should storm the court when (IF) they beat Georgetown tomorrow nite.

lmao, have you ever seen anyone count their chickens before they hatch more than Temple fans? I hope Temple never leaves the MAC, like the Jelly of the Month Club, delusional Temple fans are the gift that keeps giving all year long.

fyi, Temple fans, this is how you act when you beat Georgetown

and I do love bobcatattack.com. There's more people interested in finding out where TUVideoGuy is than reading the Nola Roll Call. Of course, some of the excuses are truelly pitiable (Look that one up, Monroe)

coaching kids basketball that night
havent seen HS friend in 6 months
re-arranging my shoe tree

The Nola Bowl better instruct ESPN to get some real tight shots of the Bobcat sidelines. It looks like you have at least 85 people who will fill the first 3 rows. Yes sir, the soylent green will be well represented

You're right.  I hate to admit it, but you're right.  You got us.  That roll call thread is pretty pathetic.  And that really sucks because there's a 100% parallel between those threads and attendance.  In fact, they don't even count people at the gates.  They just come here, look at how many people posted on a roll call thread, and put that number.  I just wish more people knew about this site so they would attend the game.

And you're also so correct that coaching kids basketball is a pathetic excuse.  We have so many people taking the time to mentor and serve kids, why can't that fool take a night off?  Who does he think he is?  At the very least, he could say he will try to get there anyway, amirite?

And because you love pictures so much, here's one that depicts you:
