I see PK Casey Magyar is transferring from Kent State to tosu as a preferred walk-on. Don’t think he measures up to Vakos but if #90 was looking to go there maybe we have a slight chance to keep him. Of course there are many other P5 destinations for a stud PK.
Colorado's kicker is transferring. Apparently Prime Time is bringing his own kicker in. I'm guessing he would prefer a P5 school, but he seems like someone worth getting in touch with.

BG is getting gutted in the transfer portal right now! They’ve just had several of their All-MAC guys jump into the portal and a bunch of other starters have entered too. Talk about a horrible way to start off the new year. OU, like every school, will see a few guys leave. It happens to everyone. But Ohio hasn’t ever and doesn’t experience the kind of attrition like Kent State and Bowling Green are going through right now.

Just a reminder that the winter transfer portal dates are December 5 to January 18. The spring dates are May 1-15.
Outside if those dates you lose the ability to transfer without a 1 year penalty if you will.

Every time I see this thread update I get a pit in my stomach lol

I still have a feeling CJ puts his name in around those May dates, especially if Kurtis is progressing, but who knows.

Like I've said before, I feel like *anything* could happen - especially with coaches getting in kids ears even if theyre not in the portal - but I think we might be set as far as big moves. Luckily.

Jones, Wigs, Cross, Rourke, Sieh all look to be holding on strong.

In terms of CJ, I wonder if TA will be promising him more PT in terms of coming into to spell KR on a few drives each game if the situation warrants. Just a thought. I have no idea how far out on a limb a coach might go in terms of promises to keep a player happy.

With the injury, does Parker Navaro have another year?

Oh yeah, he's got a couple years left. He enrolled at UCF for the 2020 year (COVID). 2021. Then to OU for 2022(Medical?). So he might only be a "sophomore" technically (football wise). Think he was listed as a Jr this season.

With the portal stuff one would wonder if three QBs with D1 ability can stay on the same team.

No offense to Parker, but I don’t know that we really saw enough of him yet to say that he has the ability to be a solid D1 QB. We know that CJ is and Kurtis is one of the best in college football.

Ohio is going back to Detroit regardless. But this kind of turmoil is bad for the MAC. It's awful man, just awful. In the MAC and most every G5 school, you're already facing an uphill battle. But to be dealt these kind of blows while also moving uphill, it's crippling. How can schools try and rebuild or contend when being stripped apart. And remember, those portal loses will also be coupled with their outgoing seniors as well. It's a massive blow to schools like KSU & BG. Conference foes or not, this sucks for these schools and isn't good one bit for the conference as a whole.

In absolute numbers the amount of MAC football players transferring is about the same as MAC basketball players but the football roster is 10 times larger. Most impacted programs this season are Kent St and WMU with a coaching transition at both locations. There is greater risk from firing your MAC coaching staff than before due to the transfer portal. EMU hasn't been able to get over the hump and make it to Detroit but has a good program under Chris Creighton. EMU becomes impatient with him and fires then the program could be finished.

Looks like Cannon Blauser to South Dakota per his Twitter? Seems rather random to me. Best of luck

Cannon Blauser has entered the transfer portal. I expect more names to follow with the bowl game complete.
Overlooked is the fact that, according to his Twitter, he's a GRADUATE transfer. Has his degree, and that's what this whole college thing is allegedly about. Wish him nothing but the best.

If we can keep Cross, Jones and Wiglusz and add the Citadel transfer and this kid, we would be stacked. Toss in bowl savior Tyler Foster and Will Kaczmarek and possibly Sieh joined by O'Shaan and Rourke/Harris will have a field day against opposing defenses.

For some reason, I don't find this potential transfer too surprising.

Guys have their reasons, but this seems like the moment he’s been waiting for.

Caesar gone. Become the anchor on a 10-win defensive line?
