Pete, your spy photo must be a pre-production prototype, before the white stripe and "Ohio" were added, and before they settled on the face mask color.

Arched Ohio shows up much better than the Green on Black from last year.

Fantastic looking helmets. I like that the chin straps are green, too.

The PAW!!!  That's AMAZING!!  Kudos to whomever decided to bring back a little heritage.  Would love to see some throwback uniforms in the future.

Obviously haven't seen these on anyone yet, but as of now this may be my favorite part of our uniforms - even more so than the black jerseys.

I think it's cool that we are wearing these for Penn State.  Will we wear them for any other games? Who designed them?

Those helmets are off-the-hook suh-weet!!!!  I love everything about them, love the paw!

Brilliant timing by Coach Solich to go with the green helmets for the Penn State game too.  I have to think Ohio's going with this helmet Saturday so that our players, especially Tettleton, have a bit easier time differentiating an Ohio player from Penn State helmet-wise during the game.

Uh yeah, but, they can do the same.

Either way. Great look.

Old Tom Boeh must be having a fit.  I told you guys that it would just be a matter of time before the paw returned.  It's about time.

That is the same thing I thought. Way to make us stand out and make it easier to differentiate from Penn State. Smart move if that is what they were going for.

Those baseball pants are part of the Barry Gibb Night celebration at Wren in the spring.

At first I wasnt sure how I felt about the new helmets, but after seeing all 3 together, it has to be my favorite.  Any word on how many games they will be worn?

Wow......those green helmets are awesome!  Never been a huge fan of white helmets......always have struck me as generic and uncreative....a little lazy even.

I like the whites. I like the classic college look of our normal uniforms, I hope we don't stray away from that look too much.

Screw the paw.  It's not tradition.  It was Mack's rip off of Clemson.  At least it's very small and on the back and hard to see.  The real Ohio tradition is the AttackCat.  Back in the "60s we had a very similar logo that was slightly less stylized with a "Cat with a real red tongue.  He looked like he was salivating and just ready to eat his opponent.  All that said, I like the green helmets as a special game helmet.  I also like the classic white!

I agree with OCF that I like both the green and the white helmets.  As for the Paw, a Paw on a Green helmet only reminds me of the worst period of Ohio football.  Besides, the very small size of this Paw reminds me of my daughter's Chihuahua.

I have to disagree OCF, I think the paw is a fantastic logo for the Bobcats and I sometimes wish they would bring it back. As for ripping off Clemson- big deal, Clemson isn't that popular anyways. Look at how many block Ms there are- Michigan, Marshall, Fiami, Mizzou.

Toledo fans were a little miffed because their helmets this year will have just the Rocket logo without their name in front of it and it got me thinking, at what point will the attack cat be recognizable enough nationally to use without the word OHIO, if ever. Mid field at Peden is the only place I can thin of where attack cat is shown without OHIO attached to it. That's where from a branding stand point I think a hunter green paw print triggers name recognition quicker than a cartoon cat.

But ultimately our best logo is neither the cat nor the paw, its the 4 letters- O-H-I-O. I was in undergrad when we switched to the attack cat and it took me about a decade to not look at it and cringe. I'm fine with it now but still lean towards the Paw.
