Not sure how you'd put this in the injury report but Solich said today of Huynh and Jones, one definitely will be out and the other has a shot of playing. When asked which one, Solich said he'd tell on game day. I hope, which ever guy it is, does play. Arkley said on Twitter that Kendrick Davis was removed from the roster because of unspecified violation of rules, so there's another DT out.

TE Troy Hill, who went out against Ball State, has been practicing, which is good because Derek Roback was out against Ball State (not sure of his status this week). With Jordan Thompson out obviously, Bobcats were down to Tyler Knight and walk-on Art Jordan at tight end last week.

Darrell Hazell to:

Purdue, Cal, Maryland, Boston College, Arkansas, Auburn, Tennessee, Colorado, Kentucky

Darrell, we hardly knew you.  Perhaps like Golden, we will send you on to your next home with two straight losses to the Bobcats.  Please remember to schedule Ohio at your next home as a way for you to attempt to extract a bit of revenge.

I know I'll probably get killed for this, but in some ways I think a Kent St. win would mean more for advancing the status of conference than an Ohio win would mean to me at this point.  Of course I don't want us to get embarrassed out there, but win or lose we should still get to a bowl game.   I just think a MAC championship game featuring two ranked teams would be cool to see.  Maybe I'm just feeling too apathetic right now.

A MACC game between two ranked teams would be cool -- but only if Ohio is one of them.

And Classmate, I'd pick none of the above and see him at Iowa next year.  Ferrentz will be out on his Keester come sundown Friday.

This might sound like a rant from a trashtalking Kent State fan, but I gotta believe Dri Archer is licking his chops. He thrives off of missed tackles and blown defensive assignments. That's been the story of the Ohio defense for the last eight games or so. Hopefully I'll be proven wrong.

I will be watching this game from the perspective of what new offensive plays we add to the mix and if we show a different D to slow down Dri.
I believe if we come out and do the same as we have been these past few games than the same result will likely follow.

I can't remember a time having an 8-3 team and literally silence all around. I know many are concerned to see this one even kick off given our recent results and issues. I am probably closer to that feeling right now and it sucks. I have been tossing and turning since 5 AM and I'm not sure if it's because:

- Have some small hope the team we saw against PSU shows up (despite those out for the year)
- Feel like we are going to be put out of our misery
- We win and get a better Bowl than being MACC's
- We lose and the year is over
- We lose yet still get a Bowl Game against a no-name school and get blown out

For the record, no-name school" to me is a program that does nothing to get the students and alumni excited (Sun Belt Schools). No disrespect but wins over the Weak 10/12/14...., and Big Least do more for perception than reality. Just my 2 cents.

OK...off for a run to kill more time and hope for the best just like every other Ohio Football Day since 1983.

C'mon men! Reach down deep and send a message! Go CATS!

I think we all got caught up in the giddiness of an unbeaten season -- fans, players and coaches.  And, to be honest, except for Penn St the wins weren't against really quality teams.  But we were getting the best everyone had and survived.  Although nobody wants to blame injuries, it's hard to overlook the numerous injuries in areas where we were thin to begin with -- receivers, DL and DBs.  We only feel as good as the recent results, and the recent results haven't been good.  The last month of the season has really taken the air out of the season.  Oddly, if we had been 8-3 by winning a couple, then losing, winning a couple, then losing, we wouldn't feel so bad right now.  I hope we can get four quarters of effort out of the team today, even if we get behind.  Watching them give up at BSU was painful.  Still, I'm primed for a win.  Go Cats!

So after watching the Jets hand off 21 points to the patriots last night, Ohio's first drive results in a fumble return for 50 yards and a TD for Kent.

Did I have some bad gravy?

What was it that Bill O'Brien said?  I think it applies to that little touchdown jaunt.

This team has quit. I would pull everyone of the starters for the rest of the game.

This is an embarrassment. How do you start 7-0 and completely melt down and possibly miss a bowl? If the bowl committees are paying attention, there are probably 5 teams in front of us in the MAC (Kent, UNI, UT, BG and possibly Ball State) in the bowl pecking order. Were probably going to get left out after this pathetic display

I'd give Vick a shot at QB the rest of today.  This is a repeat of the Jets - Patriots game last night.

yeah, but if he could hang on to the ball, we might up 7-0 instead of down 7 three minutes in.

Defense actually hasn't looked horrible. Too bad our offense is a dumpster fire.
