49 Points?
Really
That's dreaming!
24 if we are lucky!
The team has too many injuries and they are some what demoralized by these injuries and the impact they have had on what started out as a dream season.
We need to create turnovers if we are going to have a real chance to win this game.

Ball looked horrid last night--no playmakers on either side of the ball... Very unimaginative, ineffective play-calling...consistently giving up big yardage, missed tackles, first contact way past line of scrimmage on defense.

Down 28-10 mid 3G qtr is too early for onside kick--and call it off when other side sees it and moves guys up to protect against it...after failed effort, leaving CFU short drive to make it 35-10.

And this Ball squad ripped us.

Well, I'm staying optimistic. I'm pulling for this team to step it up and steal a win. Yes, I know, we've had injuries, bad plays... blah, blah blah... but why not think they can pull off a win? Plenty of time after the game to cut them up if they don't show up to play, but for now, they're in the game!

I'm going down to Shrevport and enjoy the experience. I'm feeling good about an Ohio win!

Can't (time and $) afford the trip, but I'll be yelling cheering at the TV bigtime for the 'Cats.  A W makes this whole season a lot better.  An L...not good.

Ripped the Bobcats on a given November weekend. Different result if in September.  The truth changes through the season.  People thought Nebraska had Wisconsin's number and Wisconsin hung 70 on them the second time.

November..September--what?..You have two records for us, depending on the month?

'Changes thru the season'--what's the point of that?  Isn't that true for every team?  So, doesn't the point then become how a team reacts?

I don't ask that you share my point of view.  That would be boring for you, for me, for everyone on this board.  But your 100%, absolute refusal to admit that this team has underperformed in different ways through the course of this season is stunning.  I'm not asking you to blast.  Just to stop coming off as a total apologist.

Teams change as the season goes along.  In basketball, we beat Wofford by 23 last month, but lost 4 of 5 before today.  Wofford, on the other hand, won at Xavier today.  Yeah, Xavier isn't what they used to be, but it's still Wofford beating them.  In football, the biggest game changer as the season goes along is injuries, especially if you have them pile up at a few key positions.  Neither team is the team it was back in September and October, which should make this game interesting.  Would've liked to have seen them play when both were at top form, but they've both had time to make some adjustments and maybe heal up a bit.  Should be a good game.

The 2 losses set MAC bowl expectations lower. Ohio has to establish the line of scrimmage early and get the offense rolling up and down the field, ULM is not a great defensive team like Kent State or Bowling Green who we struggled against. The fact that this is ULM's first bowl game and our senior class has been to 4 straight is also another thing going in our favor.

Here's the question: have we ever had a good offensive game in a bowl, besides 1968?

Southern Miss: one offensive TD
Marshall: one offensive TD (this was probably the biggest clunker ever)
Troy: Scored a little but only after the game had become a joke
Utah State: decent offensive performance but  hardly impressive or consistent. we managed some big plays, though.
La Monroe: ???

When is our offense really going to show up for a bowl, full bore?  Are we capable?

I would like to see our team be very intense both on the O & D for this one.
I would also love to see some new plays.
TT needs to show a more aggressive approach to this game, running and managing the game.
I would like to see us speed up the O like we did early on in the season. Let's run 75 - 80 plays in this game.
I would also like to see Troy Hill moved to WR, with his size he would have a decided advantage over the D.

I, too, am wondering if anyone has received their tickets.  We have not, and start on our way Wednesday.  We won't get any mail between now and then.

You know, Monroe, that's the problem with the bowl set-up.  It's been more than a month since Ohio played its last game, and our attention has drifted to other matters.  With a playoff system, enthusiasm is easier to maintain because there's an immediate segue from regular to post season.  Plus, I'm sure, there would be more activity if the regular season had ended more upbeat.  It's hard to tell at this point which Ohio we'll see this afternoon -- the one that was confident in winning at Penn St, beating Terd on the road and thumping NMSU at home; the one that looked dysfunctional in losing the last three by big margins; or something in between.  I'm wearing my Bobcat pride to work today and am taking the afternoon off to watch what I hope will be a great effort by my team.  Go Bobcats!

What players will we have for today's game that missed parts of the regular season? I can't seem to find an injury report.

The first post in this thread has an injury report. Arkley has reported that Herman will definitely play, Scott/Huynh are probable and Gerald Moore's ankle injury is MUCH better and should free up his play.

Can't wait for this game to start! I thought I was going to miss it because I'm working today, but realized I can listen to it on Athens Power 105.5 using the tunein app on my cell phone.

I was hoping for a return to the Bobcats' early season level of play, but couldn't expect anything this good. Can they keep this up? Let's do it!
