Ugh... nothing like giving them momentum before the half. 4th and 14 with a short field and we can't stop them?

**EDIT**

Wow, they got away with it.

What a difference Tremayne Scott has made in this game!

I can't believe the Warhawks didn't take the three points at the end of the half.

Best half of football since the second half of the Penn State game?

I know we are giving up yards, but the defense is forcing turnovers which is something we have not done down the stretch.

ULM coach had to know that they were stealing points with that fourth down conversion. By that, I mean he started fighting for yards after the forward progress was stopped.  Why not try for 3?

Edit: We still need to stop with these personal fouls.  They've killed us in the past...hopefully not today.

Can't wait for this game to start! I thought I was going to miss it because I'm working today, but realized I can listen to it on Athens Power 105.5 using the tunein app on my cell phone.

Please put priorities in proper order in 2013:  BOBCATS  > work.

Congrats Bobcats! Great win.  2 in a row vs. Sunbelt this bowl season. This one was a bit more convincing.

Is this sarcasm?  I heard:

1.  Franck Solich should be considered for "big time" coaching vacancies
2.  Athens is in the middle of nowhere; 80 miles by telephone from Columbus
3.  "They don't even have internet down there"

Great win for us. I thought we were bigger, stronger, and faster. We could have thrown the ball deep all day long on them. Also a little strange in your first ever bowl appearance to take two weeks off.

So glad to see...

Treymane Scott with a great game and Player of the Game honors after having to miss most of the season with injuries.

Seniors go out with a win.  They should be very proud of their time at Ohio.

Tettelton back healthy and playing like we knew he could.

Coach Frank smiling.

Great job, Bobcats!  Already looking forward to next season.

Isn't Lou Holtz from some dumpy county in Ohio? Why would he be knocking Athens?

1. He should be.
2. It is
3. Depends on what dorm youre in

Overall thats a compliment on our team. They were saying that what Solich and the team has accomplished is all the more remarkable since Ohio isnt the easiest place in the world to recruit to. We just won a bowl on national tv by 31 pts. This is a great commercial for Ohio. At the end Lou said something along the lines of "leave Solich alone, he is happy down in Athens". Ohio has gotten great press all week in Columbus on local news too, unlike BG and Kent and UC who were all in bowls. OU is definitely establishing itself as a strong football presence with name recognition nationally and at home

Not going to lie, I laughed at this statement because of how absurd it is.  Wasn't it 80 minutes by telephone though?

According to Mark May, we just got color tv's as well.

I'm no coach but I really think we should've played this #90 kid on defense more this season.

j/k

nice win, felt like old times (ie Sept). Amazing what Tettleton can do with healed ribs.

contact ESPN at 1-888-549-3776, EXT 3

I filed a complaint.  it was easy.  very insulted.

I explained that Lou Holtz has no right to comment on the environment and academic and technical resources of any institution of higher learning. ESPN needs to get Lou Holtz off the air.  I think he's got dementia (I'm serious).

I hope the O.U. administration also contacts ESPN.  I'm a proud O.U. alum and obtained a first rate education in Athens.

Go Bobcats.  Great game, well coached, outstanding representation of the University.

May was number 1

Holtz was 2 and 3 and I laughed when he said both of these...........they were actually very funny.......at least after the win.

Enjoy the moment.........forget what could have been......that train left the station...........We had several starters back and won by what may end up as the largest margin of the bowl season.

Thank you Seniors!!!!!
And Thank You Frank!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are we really that thin skinned???????

It was stichkt.(sp)........

He was not insulting the university.........hell........I laughed.......but that was after a 31 point beatdown.

A classic Lou Holtz Line from when he coached Arkansas.

"Fayetteville might not be at the edge of the Earth, but we can see it from here"

His line was 15 minutes from Columbus by telephone........that was classic!!!!!!

As for internet..........I know I struggle with cell down there.

Let's have fun and enjoy the win........let's quit worrying about whether or not we were "dissed"

I was serious about the postgame ESPN time being golden.  They joked a bit about Athens but were nationalTVprimetime very respectful of the 'Cats acheivement/performance.

By the way, the Indpendence Bowl is a good one.  An oldtime, well-established game.  Almost as old as me and borna and OCF and Dr. Doc Bobcat.  I could be way off but I think that the Independence Bowl wanted Ohio out of the MAC despite other MAC teams having performed better over the season--preference for us due to our better reputation and our having Coach Solich.
