Another view showing the visitor section (first two sections of lower bowl and 4 sections of the upper deck if needed.....most visitors don't use that many):

The Louisville fans were at Peden on Monday, in this sense:
I was outside of Peden and could hear a simulated crowd inside the stadium, a low roar, then building to  high intense cheeriing one would hear on big plays, then a gradual attenuation. The sounds and the timing mirrored game conditions. Peden may not look like Papa John's Cardinal Stadium, but I'll bet it sounded like it.

Before I moved in last weekend I was in Newark, OH leaving my mom's house when I heard multiple radio ads for the Ohio v. Louisville watch party at the B-dubs in Zanesville. That was a first

Having grown up in Zanesville thru the 70's and 80's, that is a shocker. Sorry to say my home town is a big front running supporter of the Luckeyes. It makes me nauseated to listen to the sidewalk alums when I go back to visit. No different than any other small town in our state I guess.

I will say things have gradually changed over the years from "ZERO" support for the Bobcats to something above zero today. I'll take it.

Go Blue Devils :)

This Louisville game is a really unique scenario...

How many times have we ever been on ESPN? How many times have we ever been on ESPN against a nationally ranked opponent? How many times have we ever been on ESPN when there are ZERO other college football games on TV?

We have had some excellent growth of the fanbase and interest in Ohio the last 5 years. And this is probably our best shot at exposure yet...

The Real O-H-I-O. I hope there are gamewatches all over the state.

Having the games on WOUZ plus all the TV exposure is likely a factor.

BTW......94 degrees Sunday in Louisville. 94 degrees!!

Will will need to keep fresh rotations regardless of experience levels on both lines.

Does anyone know if the team is practicing today (Thurs)? In light of what happened yesterday, there is a part of me that would like to see them get two good practices in before game day to get their minds on football.

I suspect that if they were scheduled to practice, they'll practice

I seem to remember they were scheduled to practice through Wednesday and then off until game day prep once they arrive in Louisville, but I am not sure about that...

For those coming down to Louisville, they are allowing in one sealed water bottle per person.  Freeze that baby up before popping it in your cooler.

Parking:  The best option for non-season pass holders is to park at the KFEC Fairgrounds a few blocks away just off Crittenden Drive.  You have to pay to get into that lot but I forget how much.  I usually find free street parking on 3rd Street or near Churchill Downs.

Food:  If your not tailgaiting, there is a Cardinal Hall of Fame cafe and a Cracker Barrell right there on Crittenden Drive by the fairgrounds parking.

Seats:  All are chairback so it should be easy on your back.  You won't need to carry in one of those stadium seats.  Ignore the lower bowl seats unsightly appearance.  You may notice the upper deck is bright red and the lower deck seats pink with some white/gray staining.  All the lower bowl seats are being replaced after this season is over.  They faded and faded remarkeably fast.  Supposedly the newer seats installed on the upperdeck are not subject to fading.  We will see.

Speakers:  A new system is being installed and will not be finished until next season.  You will notice some temporary speakers on scaffolding on top of the endzone complex (Howard Schnellenberger Complex).

Beer:  We sell beer.  Lots of it.  But I wouldn't recommend it with temps in the mid 90's.

Teddy has all play options in game so in his spare time he goes over and over and over different situations.

the temp is going to be 95 with heat index in 105 +

This is how I foresee my trip to Papa John's Stadium playing out:

"I said this pizza lacks character! On the Bobcat Love scale of bread chewiness, it receives a three! A THREE!"

(escorted from seat by two men in impeccable Italian suits and sunglasses, never to be seen again)

Via Arkley's twitter feed -

Bobcats practiced normally on Wednesday, likely to do same today, Friday and Sat. Little reaction from Ohio (concerning arrests)

Oh no, don't load the box! Don't have your safeties cheat up to stop the run! Our offense just does not work at all if you give us the deep middle all day long!

Sheriff's Preview - A Louisville fan previews Ohio. Nice work, but has a few minor errors, such as reversing Carpenter and Ingol (showing Carpenter as Saftey and Ingol as nickle back), and he not surprisingly misses the fact that three of Ohio's projected starters last year in the secondary last year missed virtually the entire season, so that this year Ohio is  two-deep with returning starters in the secondary as those players return, and join the players who played last year in their place. Even with Fisher suspended, Ohio still has 8 players in the secondary with starting experience (Carrie, Shaw, Wells, Bass, Carpenter, Hughes, Kristoff, Ingol).

Ohio lookalikes, from their board - some creative work

We should start doing our own lookalike threads.  I think they're all in good fun, and some of them are really stinking funny!

While they are pretty funny, I believe there is an app or program that searches the web and matches the photos up. No one has that kind of time on their hands.

But someone has the time to create something that does it for you.

There was a 60 Minutes story about that the other night.  How the FBI, department stores and others are using facial profiling software to search the Internet for various nefarious purposes.  Made me glad I don't have a Facebook page.

Looking at players twitter feeds, they have found these.  They think they are hilarious and taking it in good fun. They say they can laugh now and cry on Sunday...
