Anybody got tickets left? I need 2. Stub Hub jumped up the prices right as I was getting ready to pay.

Wish I could help you.  Was in the same boat.  Played the waiting game.  Last week they were as low as $17.  Waited too long and got mine for $50.  Now they are up to $90 and only 40 or so left.  I would call the Louisville ticket office and ask them what time they sell unused tickets on gameday.  Usually it's early on game-day and you will be in line with no guarantee of anything.  However, it could save you some money if you get there early enough.

This from Ohiobobcats.com

"If history really does repeat itself, Bobcat fans could be in for a treat this Sunday when Ohio battles No. 9 Louisville at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium. It's not often that a program gets the chance to open up consecutive seasons with a monumental game."

I guess this game is bigger than I thought but, frankly, despite Lee Corso and Papa John, I'm still not ready to declare a win over Louisville "monumental".  Nice program, one on the rise (maybe), quality players hanging aound for this season, but monumental?  Personally, I think Louisville will be quite glad to get a win against Ohio.

Looking at players twitter feeds, they have found these.  They think they are hilarious and taking it in good fun. They say they can laugh now and cry on Sunday...

Funniest thing I've ever seen......
I really like the comparison of Coach Solich to Mr. Hand....

Frank Solich as the St. Louis Billiken and Sam Johnson as Henry VIII were incredible.

if beating a Heisman candidate QB and the #9 team in the country at their house on ESPN on a weekend day when there are 0 other college games being played isn't a monumental win for this program then what is?

From the Gold Sheet - Ohio a three star special to beat the spread

★★★Ohio 26 - LOUISVILLE 35—Highly-ranked L’ville gunning for back-to-
back BCS bowls.  Although the Cards added a valuable weapon for Heisman
Trophy candidate QB Teddy Bridgewater (68.5%, 27 TDP, 8 ints. LY) in
dangerous RB Michael Dyer (Auburn transfer), MAC contender Ohio is capable
of staying within earshot.  The Bobcats’ under-appreciated dual-threat sr. QB
Tyler Tettleton (2844 YP, 18 TDs, 4 ints. LY), workhorse RB Beau Blankenship
(1604 YR), and a solid WR corps will hurt a Card “D” (23.8 ppg) that was often
guilty of shoddy tackling LY.  L’ville d.c. Vance Bradford has added blitz
packages, but that tactic might backfire vs. the dauntless Tettleton, who is
equipped to make downfield plays on the run.  Keep in mind that Bobcats were
getting BCS Buster mention after 7-0 start LY before being sidetracked by an
abormal number of injuries (10 starters lost for season, including both heralded
CBs).  CABLE TV—ESPN

Hmm, someone actually has the story from last year right. Let's hope we don't see anything abormal this year.

I've got two tix in Section 2, Row A. Will sell both for $80 total. Would love to fill these seats with Bobcat fans instead of some rando Louisville fans.

PM me if you're interested.

Go Bobcats!

Crickets on this board.....  Any word on who will be our kicker??  Worries me, because I have a feeling this game comes down to a last minute FG.

For those coming down to Louisville, they are allowing in one sealed water bottle per person.  Freeze that baby up before popping it in your cooler.

Parking:  The best option for non-season pass holders is to park at the KFEC Fairgrounds a few blocks away just off Crittenden Drive.  You have to pay to get into that lot but I forget how much.  I usually find free street parking on 3rd Street or near Churchill Downs.

Food:  If your not tailgaiting, there is a Cardinal Hall of Fame cafe and a Cracker Barrell right there on Crittenden Drive by the fairgrounds parking.

Seats:  All are chairback so it should be easy on your back.  You won't need to carry in one of those stadium seats.  Ignore the lower bowl seats unsightly appearance.  You may notice the upper deck is bright red and the lower deck seats pink with some white/gray staining.  All the lower bowl seats are being replaced after this season is over.  They faded and faded remarkeably fast.  Supposedly the newer seats installed on the upperdeck are not subject to fading.  We will see.

Speakers:  A new system is being installed and will not be finished until next season.  You will notice some temporary speakers on scaffolding on top of the endzone complex (Howard Schnellenberger Complex).

Beer:  We sell beer.  Lots of it.  But I wouldn't recommend it with temps in the mid 90's.

Does anyone know if Alanin502's info is accurate about water bottles and coolers? On the Louisville site, it indicates that no coolers are allowed and no plastic bottles of any kind. Unless things have changed and the website hasn't been updated, then I don't think it'd be wise to bring a water bottle and then have to pitch it.

No coolers allowed in the stadium.  Your only permitted to bring one 16 oz water bottle per person.  Mine are 20oz but I doubt they would fret over 4 additonal ozs LOL.

Ohio lookalikes, from their board - some creative work

These are amazing! Now that is some productive message board work. Bravo, Cards fans!

Thanks!

That first batch was mine. It's kind of my calling card over there.

I know you guys don't want to hear about the game. I very much enjoyed the kick returns from #37. That might be the most fearless dude I've seen on a football field. He plays like he is terminally ill, and a life insurance policy will pay off big for his family if he is killed on the field.

I wanted to tell you how incredible the marching band's performance was. They got a standing ovation from my section. We just don't get great bands like that in our place.

Good luck the rest of the year!

Thanks mivsdaily. I can't say I'm as happy about the outcome of the game as you are, but Bass made some outstanding kick returns (like the one where he cartwheeled and kept going). Glad you enjoyed the band, they're something pretty special.

Alright, now go out and make us look good by beating every other team on your schedule by a greater margin.
