Saw online that only 800 tickets were remaining...Peden should be a 'rockin. Hopefully a solid home field advantage plays to our favor.

We got 8 coming in section 106 I believe it is. Should be a good atmosphere, it was last time

This is always one of my favorite games of the season. I like the bobcats any other time but feel marshall owes payback for our last trip to athens. I wish it was saturday already!!

This one could get ugly for the Cats.  Cato is really good and our DB's have been really bad.  The pass interference calls, getting beat on multiple deep balls at Louisville, and lack of pressure from our D line has me really worried.  Cato could throw for 500 yds against OU Saturday night.  TT's throws don't look right and Albin continues to think Beau up the middle will work, even though it hasn't yet.  Unless Boykin get the majority of the time at RB and TT goes back to being a dual threat QB, we are in for a long season.

I personally love the regional rivalry with Marshall and look forward to this game every year.  I bought 36 tickets for the game and don't think I'll have enough for everyone that wants to go.  A sold out Peden Stadium will be rocking Saturday night.

I think OU's inept offensive scheme gets exposed this week and Marshall wins 42-17.  I really hope I'm wrong.

Louisville disaster aside, Frank has often done "just enough" to win against lesser teams before games against "more important" opponents. I really (REALLY) hope he was playing possum against NTSU before bringing out the big guns against Marshall.  I recall two years ago we were looking pretty crappy the previous week against a 1AA team and I thought that spelled doom against stupid cow. Then we rolled them.

54 of his 84 yards came on 2 plays.  9 of his 14 rushes were for 4 yards or less, including 3 for 0 yards and a -1 gain on a 4th and 1.  I'm not ripping Beau as much as I am the plays that are being run to him.  Boykin is getting the extra yards after contact and converting the first downs when needed.  He rushed for 5 first downs and caught a screen pass that he turned into a 10 yd TD on a 3rd and 8.  In person, it just looks like Ryan is harder for defenders to tackle in the trenches, especially on short yardage situations.

All game week trash talk aside, wtf happened to ohio at uofl????

If I answer your question, do you promise to leave "all game week trash talk aside"? B/c spending an entire week on another team's message board obnoxiously crowing about how your team is gonna stomp their team (as if you actually have anything to do with it) is just barely above watching Japanese cartoon porn in your grandma's basement on the spectrum of constructive uses of the internet.

So, I'll oblige if you'll oblige.

Marshall is just 6-20-3 in Peden, we'll need all the home field advantage we can muster on Saturday, should be another  classic.

Marshall wins in Peden-

10- 0, 11/21/64
31-14, 11/18/72
21- 7, 9/13/86
30-23, 10/10/98
24-21, 11/23/02
16-13, 10/09/04

You know the only fans who used plane crash smack was....Central Florida and WVU. The two trashiest fan bases I have ever encountered.

Good thing I know better than to think that Ohio fans are like that guy who posted that, hope he feels ashamed in his grandmothers basement about posting that.

Good luck to you fellas this Saturday, however most Herd fans feel a confidence going into this game - - want this one to be an annual home/home maybe even throw in a neutral site every now and then.

What's a neutral sight Pomeroy or Pt. Pleasant when your 65 miles apart? Grew up in Charleston went to GW highschool and all my friends went to WVU or Marshall and I walked on for football in the fall of 1970 at Ohio. Actually seriously considered transfering to Marshall after the crash in 1970.

One year in Cinci and another in Charlotte, don't know the way the OU fan base spreads out, but a lot of Herd grads in the Carolinas. Something to broaden the visibility of both programs, and no reason we can't have 30k at either venue imo.

I like trying to expand visibility of the programs, but I would rather have 30k in Huntington and Athens than some out of town site where you can't really feel the rivalry. We had 30k last year in Huntington, and we'd manage that in Athens this year if we could fit that many in our stadium.

This game has developed into both school's biggest rivalry game in football and it is a game that sells season tickets for both schools.

No to neutral sites, thats silly. Way too close... Although Detroit was kinda fun!

But if this rivalry isn't reschedule soon, it will be a freaking shame. Would love to have Ohio as conference mates.

How would you guys feel about Ohio being in C-USA?

CUSA East would be something like:

Ohio
Marshall
FIU
Middle Tenn. State
Southern Miss
Western Kentucky
UNCC
Old Dominion

CUSA West:

UAB
UTEP
North Texas
UTSA
La Tech
Rice
FAU
(Troy/Ark St/Or MAC school of choice here)

My interest in Ohio athletics would decrease significantly. Zero interest in Conference USA.

I think I speak for 99% of Bobcat fans when I say we would rather play in the MAC.

No way, no how. not having some of the traditional Universities we play is a non-starter. I would say for me personally, Fiami and either BG or Kent have to be in the conference we play in.
