There have been some people who say this game doesn't matter.  This game matters.  This is Marshall.  This is for the Bell.  This game more than matters.

I just can't get a handle on this Ohio team. I feel like we have played 2 strong programs the first 2 weeks so that should help the Cats against Marshall. The Herd on the other hand has played 2 very weak opponents so I am not sure what to make of them. I know they have a ton of offensive fire power which I think makes them a favorite in this game.

I agree about the importance of this game and rivalry. People who say its just a non-conference game are obviously Bobcat fans that reside outside of southeastern Ohio. This game does matter and the atmosphere next week at Peden will be awesome!

Go Ohio!

The only fans who might think this is just another game are those who went to school between the last Ohio-Terd game in the '70s and when Terd rejoined the MAC in the late '90s.  They probably like disco, too.

I saw a lot of things I didn't like last night, but the improvement over week 1 was marked. I think (hope) we're going to be even better next week...a few pick-6s wouldn't hurt.

Side note: I couldn't figure it out last night, anyone know when our last pick-6 was before North Texas?

Take the training wheels off the offense. Marshall's D has not been seriously tested, but we're gonna have to score a bunch to win this one. Off-guard for 2 yards is not going to cut it.

Marshall is a 7-point favorite right now.  Seems high.  I like Ohio's chances better than that.

They've put up 107 points in two games (against pitiful opposition), while only giving up 14, so they've obviously impressed some people.  The best thing we can do is to keep it from becoming a track meet.  The D needs to come up with early stops to frustrate them and it would help if the O has several drives like the last two last night.  We can score on these guys, so if we hold them under 30 we have a great chance of winning.

North Texas is very weak competition honestly. And they beat themselves. I was really worried about OU until those first 2 games, but if UNT can give you all you want at home, we should win by 2 tds. Our defense has played lights out, and has not allowed a point in 6 quarters. I am not sure that Ohio will score more than 14 in this one and that is unbelievable to say, but our defense is for real.

If we'd've lost yesterday, today would be a real downer.  But we didn't.

Beating stupd cow at this stage of the season is a tall order.  We will be a lot better at the end of the season as our lines get more experience.  If we beat stupd cow, that would be very fine.

Yeah, real impressive the way you gave up more points to Miami than UK and shut down a 1-AA team.

As much as I hate to say it I think Marshall wins this one easily.  I have not been impressed at all by the Bobcats thus far.  The offense in particular has been struggling which really puzzles me.  I think there's something wrong with TT.

Marshall takes this one 34-14, which will make me very sad.  My only consolation is that in a few years I'll be ordering fries at Burger King or McDonald's from their players.

GO BOBCATS!

Aside from some 'procedure' calls, the O-line seemed to have gained a lot from week one to week two.  That gives some hope.

Let's hope the D-line also keeps improving.  Our secondary seems to get to the ball.  If the D-line can also start making some plays--qb pressure, TFL's--I think that you'll suddenly wonder where this nice defense of ours came from.

A W is gonn' be difficult to get this week, though.

Real impressive how you needed a sunbelt defector that will be a bottom feeder in cusa to basically beat themselves to win by 7 at home. Miami scored on 2 fluke plays early and was shut down, we also could have scored 60+ on them and 80+ on gwu, but played our 3rd string for 1.5 quarters (4th qtr in miami oh). A shutout is hard no matter who you play especially when playing back ups.

All game week trash talk aside, wtf happened to ohio at uofl???? Never seen you play that badly, even bet money on OU and never thought youd lose by more than 21. tettleton looks like he is scared to run the ball this year for some reason.

If I answer your question, do you promise to leave "all game week trash talk aside"? B/c spending an entire week on another team's message board obnoxiously crowing about how your team is gonna stomp their team (as if you actually have anything to do with it) is just barely above watching Japanese cartoon porn in your grandma's basement on the spectrum of constructive uses of the internet.

So, I'll oblige if you'll oblige.

Some of us think he played most of last year with bruised ribs.  He had been tenative that way since the Marshall game last year.  He missed the game after that and has been running a lot less ever since.

hey, we as fans feel like we have something to do with it, right? I do give money to the athletic program so I may have bought the helmet a player wears, etc lol.

Ilike to stir the pot, but I actually like Ohio outside of them playing MU, and like to see you all do well, which was why I was dumbfounded at the louisville deboggle. I kept telling my buddy that TT will start lighting them up, but it never happened and I didnt get to see OU late last season to see him decline so thats why I was so surprised. Maybe he is afraid totake a hit now, if so, he needs to get over that to make OU a winner this year. What is the back up plan at qb? Future bright?

Saw online that only 800 tickets were remaining...Peden should be a 'rockin. Hopefully a solid home field advantage plays to our favor.
