For all of you coaches out there that have no idea how to respect your apponent and manage the score. I'm sure Frank would be able to offer you some insight on how to run your offense without putting unnecessary points on the board. Way to respect the game O$U.....
Went back and looked at the O$U game again.....Only 2 QB's played. At least OHIO played 3 in our win. Love how folks on this board are in support of O$U. Probably the same people we see walking around OUr campus wearing Buckeye T-shirts.
My reply to that is:
1. There is not one lesson a player or coach from FAMU could learn from being beat that bad. Clearly they don't have the calibar of players that are on the Buckeys. If they did then I would bet they would be playing for someone other than FAMU.
2. I would agree that FAMU plays this kind of game for the funds. However, it still does not give the Buckeyes the RIGHT to run up the score. That's like a boss telling his workers it's ok to humiliate them because he's paying them a salary.
Ohio state only has 2 QBs that are seniors, one was hurt one starts and the second QB that played was a freshman, I believe the rest are all red shirting.
I didn't realize being an Ohio fan and following Ohio State was mutually exclusive. I watch both, but you better believe when we were in the Shoe a few years ago I was decked out in Green. I'm sure a few people on here can vouge I bleed green.
But in this case, I dont see how running the ball 32 straight times in the second half is running up the score. If it was that bad for FAMU, maybe their coaches should have pulled them off the field or maybe they shouldnt have agreed to play.
I guess where we differ if I don't see running the ball over and over as running up the score. If they had been throwin deep or running flea flickers, I'd agree. Should they have just punted on first down? As long as FAMU continued to play what else were they supposed to do.
