" I WISH TO BE REMEMBERED THAT I WAS THE LAST MAN OF MY TRIBE TO SURRENDER MY RIFLE"

Sitting Bull

I am conceding so that we can get on to more important things like the Akron game...

They had their 6th string tailback in the game most of the 2nd half and a QB named Cardale Jones that I have never heard of.  Exactly what more are they supposed to do?  Take 3 knees and punt?  Is that supposed to go over better with the opponent?  The only reason Florida A&M was on their schedule was because Vanderbilt backed out of their scheduled game and they had to scramble to fill the empty slot in the schedule.  I know there's a lot of anti-OSU mentality here, and I understand that, but sometimes you need to do more than just look at a final score and assume there was no sportsmanship involved.
How many passes did they throw after they were up by 35??  I can promise you that they could have controlled the score had they not been worried about losing a spot in the rankings.

Tried to kid yourself all you want.  Maybe it will make you feel better.

So let me just get this right: no pass attempts when the game is in hand.  Like when Vick was brought in during the 4th quarter of a game well in hand on Saturday?  Because of course we had to keep Tyler in the game through three quarters even though Austin Peay was out of it.  Yet Vick throws several pass attempts in the 4th quarter of a blowout.  But that's OK.

"Kid yourself all you want." Wise words.  It's typical from someone who glorifies a Hocking Tech student tackling the OSU mascot, though.
Big difference between 70-0 vs 38-0.    Vick is our Back up and yes, backups need to get a bit of experience.  4th, 5th, 6th striing (as some posters mentioned) do not need the experience.   I don't recall J.D. Sprauges (sp) throwing the ball.

So you're saying the 4th, 5th, and 6th string guys should not enter the game.  So the 1st and 2nd stringers should stay in, and somehow stop running up the score, because that's the only way to win big with sportsmanship.  Make up your mind man, you can't have it both ways.  And the big difference between 70-0 and 38-0, I'm sorry to say, is the depth of talent beyond the 2nd string in Columbus vs here.  Put a guy in the game who never sees the field and somehow you expect them to not try, to not score when they see the end zone, to take a knee and not run for 20 yards...did you ever play any form of organized athletics?

They got up big, they subbed heavily, they kept the ball on the ground...what more are they supposed to do?  Get some players to trade jerseys and line up for FAMU in the 2nd half?

Who said that a 4th, 5th, 6th string should not get in the game?  No one  Please  Read my post  again.
Who said that a player should not attempt to score when in the game?  No one,  Please read my post again.
I'm talking about coaches here not players.   Again, Please Read MY Posts before providing your answers...

Note:  I looked on the play by play from that game and could not see where a 3rd, 4th, 5th or 6th string QB played.    I only saw the new #1 and #2. (minus Miller of course).

I believe it was you that said the 4th, 5th, and 6th stringers do not need experience.  Your words, not mine.

And nobody said anything about a 6th string QB, I mentioned the 6th string tailback.  Tailback is a different position than quarterback.

Imagine that, they start the debacle then back out when their own words are used against them.

A.  You kept getting the score wrong,

B.  You stated the 6th string QB, then used that comment against someone.

C.  Instead of admitting you were wrong, you simply quit....You must play for FAMU

I don’t hate Ohio State for running up the score on hapless FAMU. Not when I have so many other reasons to hate them. For starters, their fan base is the most boorish and entitled I've ever encountered. Ever go to the Horseshoe as an opposing fan? I've traveled a lot as an opposing fan, and Ohio State is the worst place I’ve visited.  I hate that we have eight FBS programs in the state, and seven don’t matter to people born and raised on Bucknut propaganda. I hate that I have to hear “Hang On Sloopy” at goddamned Indians games. I hate that people assume I like a school I loathe. I hate seeing scarlet and gray in Athens. I hate when fellow alumni spend time, money and attention on Bucknut garbage and don’t see the conflict and harm it does to our programs. I hate Ohio State for all the historic and current slights against our school (Athens State renaming attempt, appropriation of “OHIO” through script Ohio and numerous other ways, Ohio lawsuit, etc.).

Last but not least, I hate the knee-jerk Bucknut reaction to all that well-deserved contempt: “You just hate us because we’re better.”

Post of the year!  OHIO continues to get my respect because we continue to play within the rules and have never committed a major violation.  But if winning is all that gains your respect, then good luck with that.  I prefer to apply my respect to entities with more character than that.

Haha, I'd advise to pump the brakes on that line.  Never been found to have committed a major violation might be a better way to put it.  Ya never know.  Claiming "never committed" is a slippery and dangerous slope!

Good point, Jim Tressel and Maurice Clarett circa 2002 could probably school you on how to do that.

Again, 70,72,75,76... Exact number is not really the point.
Number of QB's (which could have easily been edited).  Again not really the point.
Admitting I was wrong about the score and number of QB's Yep I'll admit that.  However, once again, not the point I was trying to make.

The biggest concern I have is that you seem to notice boys in the shower who sport underwear.  Meaning that you must have been looking at everyone to determine who was or was not sporting tighty whites...   That my friend is a CLEAR VIOLATION OF THE MAN CODE.....

All Joking aside, I concede that you have won the aurgument.  Congratulations..  Would you rather I keep trying to make my point.  One of which you don't agree with or would you rather I concede and move on.    YOU ARE THE WINNER!!!!!

At first I just figured it was Urban Meyer being a jerk. but Ohio State has scored 70 under Tressel and Cooper vs weaker opponents.

Have you never heard the saying.  "The only reason anyone goes to a game at  Toledo, Bowling Green, Kent, Akron, Ohio, Miami OH is because they couldn't get Ohio State tickets.."

I use to hear that all the time say 10 years ago or so.. Not as much anymore.
