What happened to Albin and transparency? It's what he preaches right?

You mean to tell me coach didn't even make it back to Athens before closing out this deal? On the phone while on the bus with his guys that got him there? This seems pretty wild to me.
And herein lies the problem. Bobcatattack is collectively shocked and apathetic about this whole situation.

What a dumpster fire. Win the MAC in amazing fashion, reward is Jacksonville State and a Coaching Vacancy. We reap what we sow.
Yes. You are clearly right. Coach Albin left because we didn't sign a deal with a P4 program and then refuse to play them at the last minute. I totally understand now. You have been right the whole time.

Also pretty lame to spend the week planning your next step instead of focusing on your current job.
It's almost like someone on this site has brought up that exact same problem year...after year....after year. Virginia, Miami (FL), Maryland, Kansas, Louisiana....these schools sound familliar?

ALL of our Administrators (sans the one I actually like and respect) are doing this on a daily basis...and we continue to take it in the ass as fans and alums.

Cromer is doing the exact same thing right now - my guess is Arkansas, but let's see.

Until I see one Administrator speak up against the SEC/BIG12/ACC/BIG10 cartel that is dicking us over every single day, and actually take some formative action - I'll continue to sound the alarm bells to KEEP US RELEVENT.

Thank you sir, may I have another?

Amazing. I'm proven right yet again.

Tone of the board seems like someone died. Sheesh! We will be fine BA'ers. Coach delivered on the MACC and it's the name of the game now (coaches too). If you know coach, you know he loves a challenge.

Hopefully we hire the right person to continue our success. Maybe one day we get OUr "Boise State" year with a new coach.

Love Coach Albin. I wish him and his family best of luck.
Personally wish him well too, Charlotte just seems like a weird move and some of the rumors seem odd.

Barring some amazing hire out of nowhere, if he’s gone I’d love to see John Hauser get to job or see Spence brought back.

Bingo! Remember last year when Rourke and others announced they were entering the transfer portal immediately after the season and Albin was reportedly upset with the timing and decided the players weren’t playing in the Myrtle Beach Bowl?

I’m not upset Albin’s moving on. It’s been the way of the MAC and Ohio sports has been since the days of Danny Nee 40 plus years ago. I’m disappointed in the WAY the move has transpired. There are classier ways Albin could have handled it.

Yes, this is exactly what I was thinking. If he wants to go somewhere else, for whatever reason, that's his choice. But if he really got off the bus that is pretty hypocritical.

Albin's been in Athens for the past 20 years, I'm sure he's excited for some change.

I also find it funny how most people on this message board criticized him and didn't think he was the right person for the job yet here we are...

I'm excited for the future. A fresh start post Solich era.

Is this trolling? How would you even know this if you weren’t on the bus/a player’s friend/parent.

Here we go....like a partner that never leaves a toxic relationship. Rationalizing flaws and losses because you believe you are lesser. Love it. BobcatAttack at its best. Never change, guys.

I'm speaking on behalf of other idiot posters I've seen on here that thought he was the wrong hire.

I don't want him to leave. Calm the F down. I'm accepting the reality that we live in here Bobcat Love. He's leaving. I'm thankful for all that he's done with this program but am also hopeful for the future.

Amazing. I'm proven right yet again.
I've been telling people that there are Children living in poverty all over the world for a decade. I have told everyone I know to chop off their left hand to help solve. In all this time, despite all of my ranting, nobody has complied. And I just checked. There are still kids living in poverty. It proved me right yet again. Everything I check the problem is still there and I'm proven right again and again.

You and I are alike. We are always right about an issue that everyone knows exists that it continues to exist everytime we check. And the fact that nobody follows our solutions just proves us right.

The difference - there are hundreds of organizations setup and battling to fight childhood poverty. Action is being taken, Government Programs were in place (good ones until 2022). People are/were actively doing things to fight the problem.

In our case, the MAC and its G5 peers have administrators that live in complete fear of alientating any entity or person in the Power 4 conferences, so they do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, while any small kernel of reward is slowly sapped from our pockets.

Apples to Bowling Balls Tony.

I've also been telling people to chop off their hand to help solve the fact that some sports programs make more money than others. Nobody has listened to me on that either. And it continues to be true. Proving me right again and again.

If this is true, there has got to be a lot more to the story than we know, because on the surface leaving OHIO for UNCC makes not a lick of sense, even if its for a few more shekels.

I think the move has something to do with UNCC devoting more $ to NIL than Ohio could ever hope to. I wonder I’d Albin knew that with Ohio’s lack of $, he had no chance of retaining players, or even recruiting them.

I suspect the move has a lot to do with NIL. UNCC has it or is getting it, Ohio is not. Maybe I’m wrong.
