Quit being a jerk. You are either a troll, or you have no idea how to be a representative of your school. I'd wager troll. Not a single Niner I know behaves like this. We don't have an ounce of room to act like that regardless.

You mean to tell me coach didn't even make it back to Athens before closing out this deal? On the phone while on the bus with his guys that got him there? This seems pretty wild to me.

Celebrating doesn't mean being an ass. Highly doubt you are a Niner. If so, still highly doubt you've been on NNN longer than me.

Have some class or quit trolling.

Yes, if Albin is the guy, it would be the first good hire in a revenue sport by the AD (Fearne is yet to be determined).

Our theory, FWIW, was it was already a done deal and we were waiting for him to finish his season. It would be super lame for him to sign the deal and leave before you won the championship.

Deal was probably done before the game and made an agreement not to report it until after it was over. This is Lane Kiffin on the tarmac levels of quick reporting though, sheesh.

Also pretty lame to spend the week planning your next step instead of focusing on your current job. I know it's the name of the game but I sure don't like it. Those players were fully committed all week to their mission only to find out their leader was looking beyond.

Albin made it in Athens by developing players with the walk-on program. Walk-on programs are taking severe cuts for next year with the NCAA settlement. His style won't work in Charlotte.

Hey guys. Sorry to come buy during your celebration of winning your conference championship. Just want to let you know that we are taking your coach. We know you can't be our offer so I suggest you don't even try. Coach Albin will love it here in Charlotte. It's a better city with a lot more to offer than Athens. Hopefully you can find a decent replacement.

Thanks again!
UNCC is irrelevant in football and 66-year old Albin (a good man) ain't changing that anytime soon. UNCC men's basketball has been a joke forever too. Not one in that state cares about UNCC.

As for you, trolling from your Momma's basement, go put your teeth in, keep the ankle monitor charged and wipe the drool off your 1975 UNCC t-shirt.

Charlotte is a weak school athletically and academically, and I would venture to say a step down from Ohio with all things equal. Honestly this is a low rent move by Albin to allow this out before the bus gets back to Athens.

I am so underwhelmed by Cromer and Gonzalez, it is staggering. I’m very surprised we can’t outspend Charlotte. Wasn’t that where Mark Price was such an overwhelming success as a hoops coach?

Bobcat Attack - “Thank you sir, may I have another?”

I don't disagree, but this seems to be the way it was always done. It's a greasy industry and sad, sorry fall from what college athletics once were.

If it makes you feel any better, go look at our basketball season last year. You can literally see when the players leading our team knew they weren't coming back. End-of-year flameout is an understatement. NIL can die in a fire far as I'm concerned.

They’re arriving at 10:05 per social media (telling people who want to congratulate them to head to College Green)

The worst part of such a lateral move? He will get a lot of talented players to follow him there.

And herein lies the problem. Bobcatattack is collectively shocked and apathetic about this whole situation.

What a dumpster fire. Win the MAC in amazing fashion, reward is Jacksonville State and a Coaching Vacancy. We reap what we sow.

The reporting I’m seeing most recently has switched from Charlotte “set to hire” to “in talks to hire.” Gotta think Charlotte would have to be making a MUCH bigger investment to get him there without any negotiating with OU. Their last coach only made $1 million a year.

Yes.
If this is true, it seems like a “Bobby Petrino-esque” move to me by Albin. If true, were I’d Comer I’d have his office cleared out by Monday and pick an interim coach for the bowl game asap. No way Albin should coach the team in the Cure Bowl, again if this is true.

And they still won the game by 35 points, just think what it would have been if he was really into it by your standards. Wow

I'm guessing he was given a heads up the news was going to break on Twitter. But where did he go? With family? Cromer? The team is stunned but who even knows.

Tone of the board seems like someone died. Sheesh! We will be fine BA'ers. Coach delivered on the MACC and it's the name of the game now (coaches too). If you know coach, you know he loves a challenge.

Hopefully we hire the right person to continue our success. Maybe one day we get OUr "Boise State" year with a new coach.

Love Coach Albin. I wish him and his family best of luck.
