Monroe, you and I don't always agree, but here I have to give you a +1.

I'd love to see a combination of an Ohio win and a Ball State win this week.

I'm hopeful students show up. There seems to be a buzz on social media. I think classes run through Tuesday so you will have kids going home but dorms would hopefully be open until Wednesday? Or do dorms close Tuesday?
Athens is getting "deader" but not "dead" yet. Would not count on anywhere near an average student crowd, but hopefully enough still around to convince us old fogies to stand up and cheer on 3rd down :)

I see more excitement on the old fogey side, except when the kids are given thundersticks! ;-)

On my way, I'm expecting it to be worth the effort.

Okay, we are facing a 5-6/3-4 (MAC) team at home on National TV with the MAC East Title on the line. If we do not win, turn down any bowl bid and send the kids home. If we can not get up for this game and win it, there is simply no excuse. Either we have "it" or we do not. We should have that answer by 10:30 pm tomorrow night. If we lose, fire the entire staff and start over. It is year 12, not year 1 or 2 or even 3. GO BOBCATS!

It should be free scarf night. Looks like a decent afternoon in A-town but temps will drop like a rock after 5 and will be below freezing by gametime. Going to be like NIU two years ago.

Will be a pretty bitter pill to swallow if the Cats can't get it done tomorrow night, especially after not taking advantage of last week's opportunity.

Just win!

You better delete this quick!!!!

Bcat2 won't stand for ultimatums.

This coaching staff is one of the nation's elite. 12 years in they have built a dominant program where everyone gets a participation ribbon for trying the hardest!

Winning and losing doesn't matter.....as long as they get orange slices and Hi-C after the game!

Couldn't agree more in all honesty with your comments. This is a must-win for this program. We're on a hamster wheel the last five years. It's time to finally take a step forward. A MAC East title....no matter how dreadful the division is....would be a nice step.

A loss here is totally unacceptable quite honestly......well, unless your Bcat2. He'll be there with his pom-poms and pats on the back for a very talented Akron team that is one of the best in the country. No shame in losing this game for him. He'll have his postgame snacks and ribbons ready no matter what.

He's the one comparing Tim Albin to Texas' OC saying Albin is better. But I'm the one that needs to get a grip.

Ok.

Sorry to offend you. Pretty simple solution. Just ignore it...don't read it. Don't log in.

Robert,

This is why more than once I've asked if we could get an IGNORE feature as many sites have so as to not have to ready gibberish from certain posters. For now I'm just scrolling right over the kinds of posts that have no value and are negative towards the team and coaches. Although it's been more fun not even reading the football thread the past 4 or 5 days.

Yeah, it's coming to that. And it's a shame. Without the dead-horse beating, without the agenda driving, it wouldn't be necessary.

Actually, no. It was Allen that started the comparison, saying that Ohio should hire the Texas OC. Bcat2 gave a legitimate observation that the Texas fans are not very happy with their OC, and that against a common opponent, Kansas, Ohio put more points on the board, and did it with presumably less talent. I can't argue with that.

Let's put the regular bickering aside for a few hours. Go Bobcats. Beat the ovetshoes.

+1

I think the personal taunts should result in 10 yard penalty enforced on the next post by requiring the poster to post this sentence at the bottom of the post: "I will not speak evil of another BobcatAttack.com poster. We are all brothers and sisters."

Now, to be honest, I would have gotten a few of these penalties myself, but there are some here who would be inching toward their own end zone with by the millimeter with all those half the distance penalties.

Would some of you get a skin that's a bit thicker than ultra-sensitive.

First, let it be noted that both sides are avid. So, bid deal. We all love OHIO. And, we discuss with vigor. Why would this be surprising?

Overall the tone here is quite civil. Even the alleged insults are generally rather witty.

Then, I think it's fair to say that my side is able to see both sides much more than those who oppose, those who think that all is perfect.

You don't have to admit it, bit it's fair to say that such as 44 and I have pointed out things that we do admire--certain play calls, the Toledo effort, our receivers, etc. Are we mostly dis-satisfied? Yes. But contrast some on the other side who almost never admit that there's anything wrong with OHIO FOOTBALL.

That is just not true over the last 11+ years, especially the last four or so.

I agree. The bickering is getting old when we rehash the same argument. But I'm going to defend myself here.

This is what bcat2 fired away with, unprovoked in a different thread.

Bcat2 did try to compare the two, going to the degree of saying Texas would rather have Albin

Plenty of blame to go around, but I just want the facts to be clear.

In closing, yes... Go Cats! Beat the hell outta those damn kangaroos tomorrow night.

I did! I have no problem admitting that. Ohio's offensive showing vs TxSt, especially in the 1H was dreadful. 3 pts vs that team?

For you to say Texas would rather have Albin as an OC is absurd. Part of a long line of your blind support of this coaching staff no matter their shortcomings and deficiencies.

Let's hope they open things up tomorrow vs an Akron team they should have their way with.

Right. Scoring 54, 630 yards averaging 6.3 per play over 97 plays = "dreadful."

Again, you want to hang the Texas State loss on Albin, me, not buying the crap you are selling.

Again, go ahead find a Texas fan who prefers their OT 21 points to Ohio's 37 which, would have been a win. Again, me, not buying what you are selling. Lived there. In Texas, losing to Kansas, one of those things that wipes away all the atta-boys you have built up. Just focusing on the points you are making.
