What a day to be a Bobcat. So many great portal commits. I just hope we can keep them and make it to spring ball.

I like it. Nice pick-up. Had 19 td 7 int last season. 600 yards rushing.

Putting the room together.
25 of 44 for 259 (1 TD, 0 INT) v Ball State last year.
78 yards rushing and a TD also.

Pretty similar stat line as Parker. Veza had a better completion percentage, and didn’t have the luxury of a Big 10 caliber WR / TE / RB threat to work off. ;)

This kid could really be your starter next season.
He ain't coming here to be the backup. Watch his highlights. Dude has better speed than Parker. Big strong guy. Option guy. Looks like Dorwart is lone returning offensive starter!!

How is Gossett's injury situation? Was he sort of a starter?

Since they haven’t committed anywhere yet I’m really hoping 1-all of Brune, Harris, or Jones decide to stay like Nemo

I would have to think Brune is for sure gone given that Rosa committed.

To me, Cody reminds me of an Evan Hermann type. Great length and athleticism. Played receiver in HS. I would think Hermann is a potential starter this year. Next guy up.

One thing to note, Hauser is friends with EJ Whitlow, the Wisconsin DL coach who also coached at Miami. Probably comes with a referral.

I'm optimistic on the DEs specifically Herrmann, Ackerman, and Marsh. Still need a bit more depth but I like how things currently stand.

Pains me to say, but Brune looks like a ‘Let Quit’ at this point. I know we’re all excited about MTJ, now with Rosa. Choose your fighter on who is RB1. I’d love to see MTJ push him, but he didn’t turn down Duke to be a back-up here. Brune’s situation next season might not even be as good as it with last season. Harris graduated so he might just consider his time done. He’s the defacto WR1, so that’s gotta be tough to look at and say nahhhhh, but he might want some new scenery. He’d be who I want back here the most, other than Thomeson.

Thomeson went to Aztecs. I want Jordon Jones and Harris both back. If not I will jusy take Jones. We have some guys that look like experienced lower level who could be good on the line. Kind of in the ilk of Marinaro or Heidecker.

Our RB room just got interesting. All 3 of our RS Freshmen for '26 had very impressive HS careers. I believe it'll be very competitive there. Even with his offer from Duke, Rosa isn't going to be a slam dunk as RB1. Taylor and Brown have 17 and 33 pounds on him respectively. With our prosensity for UTM, Rosa could be at a real disadvantage there.

We'll see if there will be a 1a and 1b (or 1c) situation at RB or if the coaches have plans to use Rosa in other ways. Even though he was our RB2 last year, I think Brune could very well have been the odd man out in '26.

Rosa is 5’10” 210.

Bigger than Taylor.

Up to now it appears the staff has mostly addressed need in the portal. Its time to think in terms of signing the best available player. Try to increase team speed. An example of that is the linebacker from Wisconsin that could be a rush DE here with his size.

Fair enough. The link I followed took me to their signing day roster with listed him at 187. UConn put a lot of weight on the kid. Doesn't change my basic premise that our RB room is loaded with young talent. He'll be in a competition. That's a very good thing!

Several of the playoff teams regularly handed the ball off to two different guys and some had a third runner so having a 50%, 30% and 20% game mix will have a deep room all contributing for the2026 ‘Cats.

Alfred Jordan Jr in the portal. Didn't realize he had any eligibility left. Had high hopes when he signed with us last year but unfortunately he did not have much impact on the season.

5 of his 6 years were in JUCO or FCS.

At this rate, he might be able to play until he’s 30.

I think Brune will provide some good competition for the position moving into ‘26. He got a lot of experience this past year. If he does become the odd man out I think that says a lot about our run game. But we will use him.
