dunno about that. Coming off conference championship and NCAA bid, picked to win the Horizon this year, too. Scott Nagy may have a lasting program here. BTW, Blue Ribbon says they have the league's best home attendance. If this is wrong, I'll gladly take Wright...

If program lasts - Nagy likely leaves

2017 avg home game attendance:
Wrong State 4,033 - and a great year
Ohio 6,372 - and a bad year

This kid is lighting it up for Wright State against Bryant and looks like that wing that we could use, too bad he didn't choose the closer trip to Athens.

Very cool to see! Wish he came here. He went to my dad's high school! This kid has game.

Went for 37 and 11 boards on 73% shooting (11/15 and 1/1) and 14/16 from the line. 1 assist, 2 steals and 1 turnover. You're right, he got game.

Damn. If he keeps this up, surefire NBA draft pick.

Oh, I looked. Yes, he has played well all season but shot 48% not 73% and averaged 7 boards not 11. He's ballin' in the dance.

73% all season would be Gary Trent-esque - but against DI college opponents, not Mid-State League HS opponents.

Career 53% from the field, 35% from 3pt. 1,481 points scored in 3 years.

Compare to BVP 42% career FG, 31% career 3pt. 1,557 in 4 years. Pretty good comparison of the career that Holden has had.

So why are we caring about this guy if he's going to Wrong State?

[BTW, I've been calling that institution "Wrong State," since the late 1970s when they kept stealing our medical school recruits after their medical school was created as an afterthought of Senator Bird's bill that went through Congress with the express intent of creating the Marshall medical school.]

Local kid who's doing well. Many folks do care about local kids who do well. He was also a former Bobcat target in both football and basketball.

Sounds like locals are fair weather fans that only care about kid if they "do well" - too bad, the other kids deserve some love as well. :)

Two completely different types of players though. BVP has never been the #1 scoring option on the Bobcats.

Career 2pt FG%
Holden - 472-851 (55.5%)
BVP - 348-586 (59.4%)

Career 3pt FG%
Holden - 41-117 (35.0%)
BVP - 209-643 (32.5%)

LOL, nope, some of us keep track of all local kids, from Track to Women's Basketball. But thanks for your concern.

This is the first year that Holden has led WSU in scoring. So, your statement is irrelevant, in 20-21 WSU had 3 players averaging 15+ppg. As a freshman he was 3rd on the team in scoring, as a sophomore was 2nd, as a Jr. he was first. Sounds like a natural progression.

It's not irrelevant. They are two completely different types of players which is and was my entire point. You want to equate their shooting percentages yet they don't take the same types of shots and don't play similar roles within their respective offenses. BVP has taken more 3pters in every single year than Holden has taken in his entire career. Of course his shooting percentages are going to be lower.

Maybe, just maybe, Holden knows where his strength lies. Holden is the same height and weighs less, but scores, scores and scores.
