Sounds like he fits perfectly in the Saul mold.

Holden returned a fumble 50 yards for a TD against my Jackson Ironmen in Wheelersburgs victory last Friday. BTW, the Burg is undefeated and ranked #2 in Div. 5 just behind Coldwater.

Kid is a long and lean athlete, explosive with great lateral mobility. Has tremendous upside.

You can forget about Holden, starting to garner big time football interest, an interest that is only going to grow.

You sure that's what he wants to play at the next level?

You will have to wait and see. He's a 2 star basketballer and could easily end up a 4 star football.

Being looked at as a WR, obviously. Urban Meyer's wife saw him dominate a game and told her husband. Ugh, that's a gut punch.

According to that, our football team has offered him also. But I don't know if that's true or they just saw an offer from Ohio and assumed it was football.

This says he doesn't have any football offers...yet.

We have offered him in basketball. Traditionally football offers do not begin until the spring after your junior season. Staffs are working on the current class.

And McCallister is as good as there is at evaluating Ohio High School football talent. When he ranks his 2019 class, you will see movement.

He had a quote about Tanner saying something like "he just needs to enjoy playing football" which I thought was interesting. This must be relatively new for him? I guess we'll see where his heart lies in the next few months to a year.

Tanner was named All-Ohio Division V Co-Offensive Player of the Year for his performance on the football field this fall. He was also a Finalist for Ohio's Mr. Football award. I think BTC is right on this one, football may be his future.

Wheelersburg also won the Division V state title and Tanner caught the game-winning TD pass in OT.

After reading more about him, he is the son of former Marshall basketball player Rodney Holden. I was not aware of that.

Well - If he decides to play Bball at Ohio he most likely has a longer sports career with less injury potential and.....NM.....

LOL.....I see what you did there ;-) If you have not seen him play, he's a great athlete, however, he's a 6'4" guard with average quicks who has a subpar jumper. He can not dominate in the SOC, and he's playing with the same kids who are good enough to win a State football title, and is a regular in the baseball and track championships. His physical abilities make him a dime a dozen in basketball, and one of the top WR's in football. But at the end of the day, the decision is his and his families.
