as much has been in the media regardnig Groce and Levert, JG has always takent the high ground and not commented on the subject. My gut and listening between the lines I have always felt our former HC kept hands off out of respect for Ohio even when it meant he would be facing Caris for 4 years.

I think in most cases it is a coach by coach situation. If you really look at a coach and his general behaviour/character over the years it is pretty predictable the ones who are going to act honorably and those who are going to disregard any gentlemanly observation of unwritten and generally accepted behaviour.

I think the other big difference is if the kid was being recruited or was committed to the school. If a coach who has moved on steals a kid who was committed to the prior school, that looks a bit shady. Talking a recruit into breaking a contract to come with you to your new school feels icky. If a kid is being recruited, and the coach has moved up and still thinks the kid is a strong enough player to handle the higher level then I think it is fair game. At least that has been my perspective on the matter.

We really need some good news this weekend. Hopefully signing Mr. Taylor will be the good news.

Saw that McGary went pro due to a year long weed suspension from the NCAA.

Maybe the back pain was a bit to much to handle. Medical grade stuff in MI? LOL

Hope he does not get drafted by Toronto and is subject to border crossings frequently.

Potentially good news. Michigan just picked up a commitment from a different 2014 wing, Aubrey Dawkins. Hopefully this leads Taylor to Ohio.

He could see playing time quickly as well. At this point I think Michigan is looking for a big. Good for us!

I think he is on campus today. I saw someone that fits the mold and google image search result with coach Ryan on Court Street a short while ago.

Not sure how accurate this is:

Saw a tweet that said the following:

Ryan Isaac signed with the Falcons and Ryan Taylor signed with Ohio today🏈🏀 #WolfPackRumble

The tweet was posted by @thatwhiteboiwill about 8 hours ago.

The only connection I can make is that Ryan Isaac was from Michigan City, IN (Taylor's hometown) who went to Purdue and I found some sources who indicated that he had signed as a college free agent with the Falcons. Michigan City High School is known as the Wolfpack.

If this is true, I am excited for another commit!

Good find...

Looks like he retweeted the below.  Not ironclad by any stretch, but a step in the right direction.

Congrats to Ryan for signing with Ohio University. Representing MC and the 219 well!

Boom! Great news. We needed this. He could easily be in our starting lineup from day 1.

There's that final wing guy I was hoping for.  Like Crute said, now it's time to get to work!

He hasn't even taken a class yet but Mr. Crute is starting to become one of my favorite b-ball players!  He's overcome cancer and he's super gung ho about Ohio University.  How do you not root for a person like that?!?

Crute is an early front runner for the Stevie Taylor Bleed Green Award. I like it.

Who was the most recent basketball recruit who graduated HS then took a year at a prep before coming to OHIO?  The football team would have a bunch so am wondering the Bobcat history of picking up talent seasoned at a prep.
