Pretty nice handles and court vision for a big guy. Need to see more.

Also big time hops. I realize he's a late bloomer but he looks like a high major get.

"high major get."??

How high, Jeff? And how come very few mid-major offers?

I meant that his hops are on the level of a high major player. That's all. Time will tell about his overall game. As far as his offers, a lot of people are overlooking that he was offered by Loyola, which is becoming an upper division program in the Missouri Valley. He's a late bloomer but is well thought of by people who follow recruiting in NE Ohio. Like I say, time will tell.

This kid is good. I'm gonna say he'll be an OU household name his sophomore year IF he gets a little quicker with his moves while dribbling. He has a smooth shot and release and very athletic. Another thing I absolutely love is court vision. He puts passes in areas that most won't. That's why Coop will always be my favorite player

Nice article in the Akron Beacon Journal today about Stow beating St. Vincent/St. Mary. Mason had 21 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Stow should be good this year.

Allen would say he needs to "improve his speed to guard the three position!"

Agreed. I was a little skeptical about this one, but it seems more and more like he's a diamond in the rough. Keep the reports coming on him!

Bainbridge is good. Stow and Mentor always instill strong fundamentals amongst their player's game and all of their players can shoot. Stow beat us when I was in high school at Cleveland Heights and we had 7 D1 players and we were rated in the USA top 25 a couple of times that year (93).

McMurray's assist (and another from LBJ) made Baindbridge an ESPN Top 10 sensation...

I only hope that there are enough minutes for Mason with Block, Vander Plas and Gareri. Murrell possibly at the 3-4 as well, although I see him more as a big 2.

Stow plays at Canton McKinley on Saturday at 4pm for anyone who is in the area looking to get out for a game. If not to go watch Mason, at least go to see the Canton Fieldhouse if you've never been there. It's definitely a classic Ohio gym to see and my favorite place to watch tournament games in March.

Stow won again. Mason had 10 points and 14 rebounds while Mr. Bainbridge had 27 points and 11 rebounds. They are now 7 - 0.

I happened to be at Stow high school this afternoon working a a New Year's Eve 5k race. Lots of pictures of Dave Jamerson in the gigantic trophy cases at the school. It would be nice to Mason's picture in there in the future.

Stow had another easy win last night. They were leading 46 to 14 at half time. Mason had 14 points. I suspect he didn't play much.
