Someone has to address the elephant in the room. Ripon, Wisky, is the birthplace of the Republican Party. We already have a conservative Rep football coach who can't win a MACC, and gets blown out regularly every season in an embarrassing fashion. We don't need the same in a basketball player. Vander Plas? What kind of name is that? Dutch conservative? Dutch Reagan. Let's talk facts here. Facts no one can dispute. Ripon is where the Republicans started. Can you deny that? We want liberal coaches and players, who know how to win, and don't throw games away because of conservative play call. Fact! Now, deal with it, you Solich lovers who bury your head in the sand and pretend everything is OK. Don't bring your garbage to the basketball side. Deal with it!

Yeah, but the Ripon Society was begun in the sixties as a policy think tank for moderate, Rockefeller Republicans. No BUTM for them!

That first video in the thread is almost like a different player than the one that Taiwan BC posted (he sort of looks like his back hurts or something in the 1st one). It seems he made huge strides from the Summer between his Soph & Jr year to his Jr year regular season. If he continues to make progress athletically and with his body I don't think we have to worry about his ability to contribute. He's probably 17 years old and still growing. I'm sure he will be in much better shape by the time his freshman year rolls around and will be ready/able to contribute.
He broke his leg toward end of soph season. He probably was still recovering from that during those earlier videos.

I'll say it again - If you don't see the influence of Bo Ryan in the way coach has constructed his roster early in his Bobcat career, you aren't paying attention. Just base don the size and reported skills seen by the 16/17 recruits, it reeks of a Badger team to me.

Was the Memphis offer legit? It seems a bit out of place. Regardless I like the commit. Ripon is just a few miles south of where all my family lives.

One last thought - Fake Monroe needs WAY more line breaks and incoherent sentences to be more believable.

Anyone know if this young man's last name rhymes with "Santa Claus" or "forward pass"? Just wondering.

My hope is this kid becomes either a better version, equal version or close version of Connor Tava or Tucker Haymond. A kid who will drive to the hole but can also spot up. A kid with toughness, size and a bull-like attitude. With he and Gareri and Carter we will have what appears to be Saul's perfect fits: big guys who can shoot.

Was it KVK who said 'I've got better things to do than dunk'?

Check out the highlight reels on his twitter feed. This kid really runs the court well.

This is quite a stretch, he does look a lot more athletic than his old videos. He still has that slow trot going back on the defensive end. We can definitely be encouraged by the improved athleticism. He went from barely dunking with an inch to spare to now having about three inches to spare.

Allen, you and I must not be watching the same videos. He's getting very good vertical.
