We're up 1 at the half. If anybody cares.
Sounds like they've made Sears a non-factor -- 0 pts, 1 asst, 3 rebs in 18 mins. He does have three steals.

BVP -- 3pts, 4 rebs in 16 mins.

Team shooting 20% from three.

This game was the tail of the 1st ten minutes vs the 2nd ten.
We looked good up to the ten minute mark and then it appeared that we got complacent and let them back in and of course gave the Owls some confidence.

Sears and BVP 1-9 from the floor for combined 3 points. Recipe to lose to a team like Rice. C'est la vie.

Carter has 24 of our 47 pts with 10:46 to go. Nobody else in double figures.

He's been unstoppable.

Rest of team not so much.

What a craptastic game by everyone not named Carter. But these guys never quit even down 1 with 6 seconds to go. Sears with the buzzer beater when it counted.

Survive and advance I guess.

No such things as an ugly win when it's win or go home.

I will take an ugly win in a win or go home scenario!! Crossing my fingers this was an off night for everyone else except Carter in regards to shooting. Woof.

Correct. Ndour's slam against Buffalo doesn't count. There wad still half a second left.

Agree. Win is a win is a win is a win. I'll take it and I'm looking forward to the next game. Carter was the man tonight (26 and 12) until his horrible decision to throw long on the inbounds gave Rice the chance they needed to take the lead. But Sears knew exactly what to do.

Wish JC had informed his partner we are Ohio and not Ohio U, weird to hear one consistently call us Ohio and the other Ohio U but pretty much par for the course.

With the cheer OU, Oh Ya, how can we not also be Ohio U? And with all the smart OHIO grads over the years how come one of you didn't start the OH IO cheer in Athens instead of the thieves 70 miles away?

Sears winning shot has some similarities with Bobby Tatum's game winner v. Ill St. in NCAA tourney first-round game 38 years ago. Illinois St., like Rice, took a lead with just seconds left. Tatum, like Sears, takes a bump that wasn't called a foul, yet hits the game winner at the buzzer.

How's that for a memory, Shabamon?

Great Ohio crowd. About 300 or so I would say! Rice had about 10. So we do it again on Monday at 8:30 pm. The DJ plays some very loud music during timeouts! But a great evening for the Cats!

As I recall he hit it as he was falling down. And I think the game was in Tampa.

I think we did do it before OSU but for whatever reasons “dropped the ball”. They started doing it and ran with it. Somewhat like Michigan gifting them Script Ohio.

Yes, he was falling down when he made that shot. Just incredible that he made it.

But Robert's shot was after a 3/4 length court pass and was from 15-18 feet. Sears made a mean man move to the hole.
