Our bench isn't that good - we are not going to go down there and get too creative with minutes.
Yes, if you give too many bench minutes, you won't have too many games, and that will severely limit additional playing time. I think you have to give a few extra bench minutes, both because of what this tournament does or doesn't mean and because it's potentially four games in five days, but you still have to play to win.
I'll qualify my comments by saying my Bobcat live history only goes back to 1979. The top three in order for me would be the Sweet 16 run in 2021, the entire 1994 year - the MAC regular season and tournament championship and the pre-season NIT championship (I was in the stands for the UNC game, the Indiana game and the game at MSG), and then 1983 or 1985.
To me, the best Ohio team remains the '63-'64 version. Finished 21-6. Played a tough non-conference schedule. Won the MAC. In the NCAA tournament, beat Louisville and Kentucky before losing to Michigan in the Elite 8.
The '64-'65 team also distinguished itself. Also played a tough non-conf schedule. Finished with 19 wins and a MAC title. Lost by a point in the opening NCAA game.
The '69-'70 team also was special. Like those earlier Snyder teams, played a tough non-conf schedule. Finished 20-5 and finished ranked in the AP's Top 25.
