How about this...

I enjoy basketball games a little bit more when Dragon gets ejected before half time.

I toured Miami's campus while in high school. Somehow I was able to escape the sucking and head east.

How's that Gardner-Webb walk-out thing going?  Maybe it was Winthrop?  Who can remember.  It's not like you're not constantly on a ridiculous extreme, pal.

It's good to know that you're the arbiter of taste here.  Wait--maybe your looney standards and point of view are not stellar.  Isn't it about time for another childesh threat to withhold attendance or financial support?!  Hint:  a sign of maturity is thinking before you write.

Is it possible for you to post without the constant cheap shots?

When I read Monroe/Kit Cat's posts I feel a bit embarrassed for my alma mater.

There's nothing wrong with having a sad, unhappy, small life.

But sharing it with others is a little creepy.

That's exactly how I feel when I read inane posts like "Relentless."  "Believe."  and "What's most important."

Your post, "Oh.", on the b-ball board a few months back is a great example.  You do know, don't you, that you're not supposed to drink the bong water?

Thank you for confirming that your life is so unremarkable that you spend signigicant time perusing my posts of months ago.  Creepy.

You really have fine people skills (a self-confess thread and you use it to blast others) and a good sense of the best of life and of uplifting spirit to achieve more with the same resources.  Any idea as to why Coach Solich chose "Believe.  Relentless" as his initial themes? Have these worked?

I know that you won't get this so let me inform you that I'm being sarcastic in some of what I write here.

Since you're consumed with the wisdom of my posts:  If you manage your money the way that you manage people, you should be prepared:  hire a b.k. lawyer now.

Congrats, also, on hiding behind a pseudynom here.  Some of us have the grace and courage to use our real names.

That bongwater jest.  Gosh.  That is so funny.

You bring knife to gunfight.

I know that you want to respond to my wildly cogent post.  But since you're so busy being little, let me step in for you:  some weak, stuff that's not relevant and no one cares about.

Shall I send the invoice to your home or do you want to pay by credit card?

I'd forgotten how fond you are of responding to your own posts.  And my people skills aren't too bad - I own a pretty successful PR firm.

And that explains your gratuitous potshots at some of us in this thread how?

To the others--Sorry for disturbing your thread but I'm tired of the garbage personal shots.  If someone doesn't like or disagrees with my posts, then okay.  Have at it.  But I don't put up unprovoked personal attacks at others and I'm tired of being on the receiving end of attacks from those I see as no better than me...but who are happy to proceed as if their words and views are The Truth.

But Monroe, my posts have specifically criticized your posts, not you personally.  So many are just pointless; makes me wonder why you even bother.  And it's always disappointing when I accidentally open one and see that yes, once again, it's some inane non sequitur.  I guess that's how you get to 1,300 posts.

I have been critical of many of Bobcat Love's posts in the past, but it's obvious to me and others that there's a great deal of thought behind them.

And if I'm not mistaken, you escalated this deal by responding with, let me see, "F You."  Now that's classy.

My ID was issued before "scanned" existed, I think I stretched it for a couple years.

Dear SBH,

I find Monroe's posts almost always entertaining and sometimes enlightening. I will grant that he has a unique way of expressing himself, but I find it refreshing.  It's clear that he loves OHIO and that his heart is with the 'Cats all the way -- win or lose. Sometimes he's a real cheerleader and tries to encourage all of us to be more enthusiastic in our support of OHIO.  I think that this is all to the good.  Though his syntax is sometimes not exactly textbook, I've come to really appreciate his unique way of expressing himself.  He is, after all a CPA, and not a graduate of our esteemed J-school, as I am and I believe you are.  Therefore, I cut him a break on the syntax.  In my humble opinion, he's an institution at bobcatattack.com.  But what do I know, our beloved BL puts me in the same persona non grata category.  Why are we, as Doc said so well, circling our wagons and shooting inside instead of directing our fire outwards toward Oxford Tech, Temple and other unworthy scum?

Truly yours,

OCF

Disagree, SBH.  What you wrote was so broadside as to attack me for being a constant purveryor of inanity.  You never get to the specifics of why my posts are off base.  Just  broadsides against me because you don't like what I post or my vernacuar.  The 'f you' is because I'm fed up with personal slams for no apparent or stated reason.  What is it that you don't like when I post 'Believe.  Relentless.?'  You have a problem with me buying into that solid philosophy that Coach has used to help turn the team around?

If you don't like my posts, be specific in your criticism.about what I write  A blanket slamming characterization against everything I post is uncalled for.

The following basketball thread was started by you, under the title "Oh."

"Frank Ball and his brothers starting Ball Corp (publicly traded mid-cap) about 130 years ago.  Profiled in InvBizDaily a week or so ago.  Ball State is named after the family.  Frank visited Bowling Gree for a while.  "Having become weary of the monotonous life in Bowling Green and ready for a change, I decided to run down to Muncie and see what they had to offer."

Even 130 years ago, Ball knew that BG is weak, Muncie vastly superior."

I rest my case.  Nothing but sweetness and light from me from here on out.  (And note that I haven't brought up the embarrassing KitCat posts on Vandelaysports.com.)

Wow.  That little tidbit I put up during the summer, no-Bobcat-sports-going-on period is really offensive .  Thanks for catching me on that.  Any idea when the criminal charges will come down?

As far as VanDelay and kitcat, I have no idea what you are talking about.  I've never posted there. that I can recall.  Certainly not under that name.  Kinda surprised that you don't know that given your omniscience.

It's really about how one treats people.  My 'f you' was like your broadside slam against me.  You didn't like that, apparently, as I don't like your baseless slams at me.  Unless needlessly provoked I don't do that to people.

Again, apologies to all you bystanders here!

Done with it.

SBH, what's wrong with trashing BG?  I kind of like what Monroe had to say.  It gave me historical context that helped me better understand just how long the town of Bowling Green has been such a vast wasteland.

Apparently not."

Given the SBH and Monroe meltdown, I thought I would throw in my own confession since it relates a bit.

I've been posting on BA (and all the previous incarnations) since I was 13 or so. I am now 29, which means I've voiced my opinion during some pretty awkward and childish periods of my life. I've gotten better, but sometimes I post things that I would NEVER say in real life. Or perhaps, my rants just come with an aggressive tone that doesn't reflect my real life personality, which is very mild-mannered.

Recently I've decided (with some encouragement from my wife) to try and behave on the Internet the same way I would behave in non-digital form. I think it is working so far ;)

So that is my confession. I've been a jerk on BA in the past.

So SBH, please try and chill on the Monroe bashing.
