I thought a lot of people who tweet do not care about grammar, spelling, etc.  Doesn't always reflect on their verbal abilities.

I'd say that's true in a lot of cases, Jeff, but his were, uh, different.

Groce already has a potential fill in for the open scholarship according to Arkley.

Better this happen now than during the season. I give Groce credit in that the vast majority of his guys that have left did so before the season or right at the beginning. TOS, on the other hand, had most of his mid-season. Chemistry-wise, that's the worst thing that can happen.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: When you diss Ohio, you diss yourself...

Be it $tevie Fresh, that Big Ukrainian-not Ru$$ian Kid (that some creepy old men Facebook friended), Money $hot Fear$, Ja$on Grunkenmeyer, Rufu$, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera...

When your endeavors are part of an Ohio-U-less future, I care not much for you...

Wonder when we will get some info on this?  Is a Monroe Big Manz in the mix?

Agree.  And I stick by my thought that those who transfer don't do much thereafter.  At least, that's my gut feeling.  Certainly for those who xfer in season.

A BIGMANZ is always welcom.

Armon Bassett and Bubba Walther were both in season transfers I believe.

I was thinking the same thing---most that transfer out of OHIO end up at NorthCenteral Idaho Community College or the like.  Either they were bad hires (recruits) from the get-go, and/or they didn't have the internal make-up to make it much of anywhere in the DI world and we were simply the place they unfortunately figured it out.

Yeah, just about every player who leaves ends up doing basically nothing, even though most of the time when they leave we are upset to lose them.  But despite that past history, I still think Joe Mitchell could be the first that we watch have a successful career elsewhere.

Of course this is bad news, but it's probably not a killer. We're deep at his position. And if you want to look at the positive side, the Bobcats can add another recruit aside from Bradds into this year's class.

My understanding is that Bradds will be in next years recruiting class....not this one.

Oops, you are right. It's just unusual to have a guy commit that far in advance.

I guess then there are two scholarships available, if we get back the one we lost becasue of academic progress.

Bigtilly--Point well taken.  I should have been more succinct.  I was speaking of transfers out from Ohio.

I really don't understand all the movement of these student athletes. It's very difficult to get a scholarship in the first place and then you don't even give it a chance? Unless this is going on everywhere else I must put the blame on the coaching staff. All of you in business know the first rule is to know your client and how you match up with him/her. There are warning signs that it's not a good fit and if you choose to ignore them you get this kind of thing happening.

No matter what the reason for all these players to leave the truth is that more have left under this coach than others in recent history. That is a troubling fact that this coach & AD need to understand.
If we are not using all available scholarships we will be at a disadvantage against the competition.
More to come.

There's been no release statement by Ohio.  It appears the final question on Mitchell is leaving Ohio going to cost him one year of eligibility.

This is baseless speculation built upon possibly less baseless speculation on my part but Jakarr Sampson was ruled academically ineligible at St. Johns.  Jeff Goodman of CBS for one is suggesting that Sampson might open up his recruitment and look elsewhere.

Let's get those recruiters and academic counselors going and bring Jakarr to Ohio!

I haven't heard anything about a release yet, so I guess he won't be seeing any action until next year.

He walked on a team and a program one week before school started.  He needs to pay the price of sitting 1 year, unless their are serious family issues we don't know about.
