Did the Bobcats get jobbed there? I've never in my 20+ years of watching basketball ever seen a team turnover the ball because a guy was standing in bounds when he caught the ball. Clean play, refs call BS TO and Louisville ties it up.

Refs took away the Cats chance at the end, such a shame.

Bummer... There was a missed charging call, but the big boys will get that home cooking.  I am looking forward to conference play, it will be a dog fight!!

Even the louisville announcers said it was a bad call. Still had two good looks at the end. Play like that all year and we'll be fine

What a shame to let that one get away, between the refs and the butterfingers.

Also, three of our five starters didn't really bother to get off the bus tonight!  Bench was nice and welcome to 2011-2012 T.J. Hall.

Decent game plan by the Bobcats, just can't win when you have to play 8 players on the floor (although we tried to even it up with Ivo coming in as a 6th attacker.)

Certainly we coulda won.  Putting this specific result aside, I see a team which doesn't have a senior and which is deep and can play.  Much upside if we keep developing.

Very nice showing by the 'Cats.

obviously would've liked a win but I like what I saw tonight. Lot of fight in this team, they don't wilt under the lights at all, tie ball game with 2 minutes left on the road against #7 team... much more fun than our adventure with Kansas last year. looking forward to an exciting year.

seems we've played petino-coached teams several times over the years, and more often than not thrown a scare into 'em.  I can remember that after a game when he was at Ky, Petino was quoted as saying playing Ohio was as much fun as a trip to the dentist.  My guess is he feels the same this evening.  Good job, guys, learn from it and grow from it!

This was a great effort tonite from the Bobcats. Team showed some confidence and gave #7 Louisville (they didn't look like 25 team to me and look more like a 1 and done type team) everything they could handle. Ohio came to play and almost finished the job.  Crowd got loud at the end and Louisville pulled this one out of their butts.  Gotta love the bench play from Ohio and Cooper took over the game and gave us a chance. Louisville and Marshall are the two toughest games all season this week. We competed.  We competed  and almost won at Louisville. This team gets a little confidence and momentum going and we could have a good year.

As a sort of parenthetical, I was front row, a half dozen seats off of the baseline, in Las Vegas last year for the game vs. Kansas.

Forget about that game.  We were young and quite over-matched.  DIdn't help that Tommy got head-banged out of the game in the early first half.  That game is very ancient history and, as tonight showed, has nothing to do with anything at all about OUr future.

This is ridiculous. Not having a good game doesn't mean they didn't bother to get off the bus. http://youtu.be/GUPRDnYwp74

46 minutes, 2 pts, 7 fouls, 10 reb's, 5 to's!  Getting that from 3 of your 5 starters was very tough tonight.  I would say we might have been better off if they had stayed on the bus.  We did get great minutes from our bench and hope some of that translates to change in minutes.  Three starters looked lost out there tonight. Taylor and Hall gave good minutes off bench to keep us in the game.

You're knowledge of b-ball is obviously limited. Suffice it to say you never played the game beyond grade school.

FACT: the 3 players you cite took 8 shots. Two of them shot it a single time. You have a problem with 10 rbs. in 46 minutes? Not too shabby if you ask me.

Smith is not an offensive threat in case you've yet to figure that out.

Last, if you feel that they'd be better to have stayed on the bus then you're a clueless idiot.  They're kids. Who are you? Some bozo hiding behind an anonymous ID here.....'Nuff said.

Then Siva was driving them around.  They played tough  - against a good team.  Not generally going to get the charge call against a top ten team playing at home.
