I went ahead and coughed up the $12 and it was well worth it.  Our spacing and ball movement is just awesome right now.  UNI is a very, very good defensive team and we essentially toyed with them.  This was a statement  game.

Think about this, in games this year we have led:

Louisville by 6 (4 min to go)
Marshall by 14
Oakland by 14
Portland by 21
Wright State by 32
Northern Iowa by 22

ALL ON THE ROAD!!!!

Great game! Well worth the $12 - took it to those guys all night.  Great to see Ivo and Nick step up and DJ was outstanding running the show again.  Keep it going BOBS!

I did the same thing, Van.  So glad I viewed the webcast.  We looked phenomenal for the most part.

Good stats on the leads!

amidst the excuses whining and disbeleif that we can shoot near 50% from 3 with wde open looks......this is the best quote of the nihgt on the opposing message board.

I guess I'm new to this, but is this where we whine about the officials and refuse to ever play that team again? 79% of Twitter thinks it is.

The spacing and "motion" looked fantastic. Energy, movement w/o the ball - FUN TO WATCH! Made NIOWA look pretty bad!

Agreed. That was a great use of $12. Even more glad I turned the sound down to listen to Russ/Rob about 5 minutes through the 1st half. They were a second or two behind the video feed but it started to be fun to yell "BANG!!!" and then hear Russ say it a second later.

I had the opposite problem. Russ was about 5 seconds ahead of the video in the second half so I was forced to listen to their guys.   They were okay and gave plenty of props to Ohio.  Still prefer Russ by a wide margin.

Interesting - Russ and my stream were perfectly synched the entire game - best of any I have ever watched/listened. Not a single issue audio or video, synching, etc. the entire game - I don't think that has EVER happened - good $12 spend for me!

Panther fan here.  You guys kicked our butts tonight.  Looked absolutely insanely good doing it too.  We rarely give up more than the low 60s in points and you guys scored mid 70s while only scoring 3 points in the final 8 minutes.  I am not sure I have ever seen a team click that well against us on offense ever.  Ever.

That being said I had to defend our board a bit.  I think we've done a good job of complimenting your team for a deserved win, especially after the game ended.  You can read the thread here: http://www.panthernation.com/showthread.php?t=44042&p...

I also have to defend that quote.  It was made in reference to the hissy fit Iowa fans had after they got beat by 20 against us earlier in the year.  You can read about that in the threads below

http://www.panthernation.com/showthread.php?t=43609

http://www.panthernation.com/showthread.php?t=43644

http://www.panthernation.com/showthread.php?t=43473

http://www.panthernation.com/showthread.php?t=43837

http://www.panthernation.com/showthread.php?t=43626

As well as a plethora of threads Im sure you could find on their board as they absolutely threw a tantrum as a fan base after that game.  Basically they thought the officiating cost them the game, and they don't think they should play us anymore.

Missed the game due to work... considering paying the $12 for the on-access replay...unless someone who watched it live has a generic UNIPanthers.com log-in they want to share .

Great win. I don't look at this as any big "statement win". That would have been Louisville had we won that game. I think what it shows is that we are a very good team when not depending on DJ for the whole offense. Many others scored and were involved in this win and that's very important. Every team out there knows who and what DJ does for our team and will be keying on him the rest of the year.

Any idea what Groce was talking about in his post game interview about "cutting 3 segments out of practice [Monday]?" What were the 3 segments?

I was on your board last night and I was surprised at how much credit they gave us.  Most fans completely focus on what they did poorly as opposed to what the other team did well but you guys gave us plenty of credit.  There was also a lot less hand wringing than I expected.

I was at the game.  Needless to say, I'm glad I made the trip.  A few notes.

OUr confidence was palpable.  From the start we had the feel of the superior team.

UNI had a good fan turnout for a Tuesday when school's not in session.  Probably about 3/4 full in a 7,000 + arena.

Their fans are loud, intelligent and supportive, but very polite.  I must have had at least ten people say something along the lines of  "you guys have a really good team".  Listening to their post game broadcast on the way home, it  was the same way.  They were raving about how great we are.

I sat right behind the friends and family section which was behind OUr bench.  Ivo had a nice contstuency up from KC.  I have to think that had something to do with his OUtstanding play.

Luckily it didn't matter, but the refs were inconsistant.  We shot 9 free throws compared to 20 for UNI.  It was laughable in the last few minutes when they were trying to intentionally foul us and the refs still wouldn't call a foul.

I assumed Groce was saying he cut out 3 things from practice because the team is doing everything so well that he didn't feel the need to reinforce 3 things in practice.  That's huge.

The UNI coach said postgame that they needed to stop us from doing a few things and just didn't -- he didn't elaborate.  I turned that into Ohio imposing its will.

By some miracle I stumbled into listening to the second half on UNI's 1540 AM while driving in New York City and Connecticut.  How does that happen?
