Thats some serious whitebread there. Tucked in and white t underneath WITH the silly ballcap indoors and Khakis no less. Probably some boat shoes with no socks on the bottom too. Probably some funky upscale name and ...muffy or buffy to critique his trip across 32 the entire way....

Yeah, the jersey should never be tucked in unless you are out on the court.

Are you guys going to wear these jerseys and at what age is a guy too old to wear one?

Nominating myself for predictive cross thread reference of the year from 9/28/11, six posts down on the page, and thankful I could care less what someone thinks about my attire.

And FWIW, I wore my 100th Anny, Bubba Walther game used jersey to witness the Georgetown upset in person, and never once felt like a douche doing it.

Were the 100th anniversary jerseys the ones that said "BOBCATS" instead of Ohio? I vaguely remember hearing that they were going to sell (auction?) those off, but then we lost the game those were worn, and I never heard much about them again. Always wondered about that.

I bought mine at the Spring Game clearance sale a couple of years ago.  Has the convo/100th anny patch on the back between the shoulder blades and Ohio on the front.

Isn't this the last year of the contract with Russell to provide our uniforms?  It seems strange that now that the contract is coming to an end that Russell is going out of their way to accomodate all of us that have wanted an authentic jersey for years.  I like the look of the black jersey but would hate to buy one just to find out that we will be wearing Nike, Adidas, or UA next year.  Am I right on this being the last year of that contract?

It was reported during the football season that Russell basically gave the school the new black uniforms for free as an incentive to renew with Russell.  I guess they like the publicity the Cats have brought them recently!

With the success of all our sports teams as of late, I would anticipate that the bidding process for new uniforms might be more aggressive and advantageous for Ohio this go around.  Any ideas on when we will know what they will be wearing next year?

Have we renewed?  Or brought them some good face-time?  Don't know on the first, I'd say yes on the second.

I can't remember if it was 2010, or 2011... But one of these years, we were either the only Russell school bowling(2010), or only school to win a bowl(2011), but they want to keep Ohio pretty bad.

The first, sorry for my lack of clarity. I'm not as against them as I once was, but I am really unhappy with our current basketball uniforms. The men's are bad and the women's are terrible.

I think I'm going shorts. Although a framed basketball and football jersey side-by-side in my office would look awesome.

I can't pull off basketball jerseys.

I look like Oliver Miller in them.

I'd like to see these sort of sales become a fundraising effort. Instead of just asking people for cash, let them pay 350-500 bucks for a donation and they get a jersey in the deal. Sort of a PBS approach to it all.

Maybe even throw in tote bags with a giant Rufus face.

Basketball cards with commemorative cut up pieces of Groce sport coats.

Teddy Valentine tiny collectible  vanity plates.

We need to go back to Nike or Adidas so the baseball team isn't forced by their coach to wear trashy Akadema cleats.

That's a good point. Thanks for bringing it up.

I would prefer with us to be back with Adidas, however if Russel is willing to show us some love with alternate jerseys and doing a better job of making jerseys available to fans than I am fine sticking with them.

I'm a Nike guy.  I think they have the most variety and are typically setting the trends.  Their stuff is just a lot cooler to the younger generation.  My kids spend half of their disposable money on Nike.  The only other brand they want is Under Armour, but that is only for certain pieces of clothing.  Plus, Nike would be able to outfit all sports from head-to-toe.  Russell is OK for clothing, but there is a very limited amount of official clothing available.  I view Nike in the same way as Apple right now.  There may be a technically better option, but it seems to be the best overall choice.  I know money plays a big part in this, so I trust Schaus to make the best decision for the program.  That is why Russell is there in the first place.

Anybody remember what numbers the LaFerlas wore? Buying a matching pair for myself and my brother.

PONY.

Starter.

Cutter and Buck.

 London Fog.

They could sell a shit ton more of these special things if they'd provide an actual picture of them and the design.

I had to dig through the photo gallery to find what the design on the sides was...

Still can't tell what the design in the numbers is... in real life from Section 1 it just looked like they were cheap.

I hope they don't wear cleats, they would be really bad on the floor.

Akadema still claims it is the footwear sponsor of Ohio on their website. They also did wear them in the past (might have recently changed), which was completely ridiculous.

To get this back on topic, and now that the ordering deadline has passed, does anyone know when these will ship?  I assume since they are custom ordered names and numbers we are going to have quite a wait on our hands.
