Awesome...and a BLACKOUT for the Bracketbuster too! Win vs. Ball State and we've got to be looking at a great opponent and TV for that game.

Names on the jerseys will be unbelievable. All things considered, they're pretty affordable.

Great opportunity, but I'm a little confused... Do you need to buy tickets for the game to buy a jersey too? A lot less appealing for somebody who lives out of town and can't make it down for the game (i.e., me).

Just ordered mine without purchasing tickets...I think it's just that the order process runs through the ticket website. Already have my seats!!

That's exactly right. I just got a response from one of the fine folks in the marketing dept. who explained it the same way.

Nice, my older brother will be so happy, he really wanted this black jersey to go with his football one.  Any idea on sizing compared to normal clothes?

Anybody know if you can get a name/number of a current player? Seems like that would be a violation of NCAA rules, no?

Will the jerseys go back on sale later, like the football ones did?

David-$110 for the jersey.

Question-can you get former players or just current?

I think you can get ANY name and number combination, including players. It is my understanding that the NCAA regulations just prohibit the university from advertising and printing the players names and numbers. If you choose to personalize it in that manner I don't think it is a problem.

well, my wallet will be about $110 lighter. Now the only question is the number (going to go sans name).

Are you guys going to wear these jerseys and at what age is a guy too old to wear one?

Glad I'm not the only one considering going sans name. Just feels a little more timeless.

As for Alan's question, I'm sure there's an age where it becomes silly to be wearing a jersey, but I've been trying to track down a nice Ohio basketball jersey for 12 years, so this feel a little like finding my white whale. I just turned 30, and if that makes me too old to be wearing a jersey, I'll accept the consequences.

(And if nothing else, it would always make a fine addition to the OU memorabilia collection in my office!)

You know what, I say you can wear a jersey until you don't personally feel comfortable wearing one.

Some people say there is a certain age but who care what they say.

Its up to the individual wearing the jersey. When I go to Sabres games in Buffalo, my 56 year old dad wears my old Vanek jersey to the game while I wear my newer Sabres jersey.

There's nothing wrong with being older and wearing a jersey. I say do whatever you want.

How about you run up next game and tell Mr Coop he is too old to wear a jersey .... I m sure he is not worried about being too old

I would happily wear 24 but I am gonna order it for the kid. Come to think of it I have never had anything with his number on it

I just bought my black jersey online but I forgot to customize it. I am so pissed right now.

I sent an email to customer service asking if they could change my order since I forgot to customize it. I just hope they get back to me because there is no way that I want just a plain, numberless jersey.

And for all you guys that are interested, I want a #5 Cooper jersey just because I started OU in 2009 like him and think he will go down as one of the best Bobcats of all time.

Yesterday was report card day and both boys got straight A's.  Usually, they get a trip to Coldstone for a good report card, but this time I decided to surprise each of them with a black jersey with their name on the back.  They will be really excited.

In response to Alan's question, I am of the opinion that somewhere around age 25 is the too old to wear a jersey.  The rare exceptions might be a vintage jersey or if you are a parent and your child is playing in the game.  I just think it is really odd to wear jerseys of people that are considerably younger than you.

I spent a good part of the game last Saturday chuckling at the attire of a Miami fan in the front row behind their bench.  Not only was it an adult wearing a generic Miami mesh practice jersey, he went to the trouble of tucking it into his khakis.  Just remember, if you are wearing a basketball jersey as a grown man, this is what you may look like to others.
